How to Fix an Xbox One | E102 or E101 Error | Part Three

Right, here is part three of my mission to fix a broken Xbox One - in particular looking at E101 and the E102 error codes.

I had the exact same issue as this video , error changing from 102 to 101, however instead of downloading the hardrive on a usb flashdrive if you download the os, OSU1 it might work. Worked for me and all good, saved me a lot of money and I'm not sure why its not mentioned on the xbox help guide as an option to fix error 102.

I think I understand what you mean. @GerardCarey I am to just use the OSU1 and do the update for E102 and maybe it will work.

@@Iplay23 worked for me, you might have to do it two times if it glitches out, but it will work at the end!

Mine as well. Tried all isb reset, factory reset. All to no avail. Mine was working fine until i went ahead to install an update which somehow stopped abruptly during installation. Guess the update screwed up my xbox one.... still looking for solutions.....

I replaced the hard drive and it fixed now

I went as far as to replace my hard drive and it worked for about a month and then it went right back to the same error screen displaying e101

Hi. I’m having a similar issue to you sir. My Xbox was working fine until I offed it one night and the next morning I woke up to an e102. My USB offline update does not work, it simply says something went wrong. Please help me 🙏

@@zomberok993 well I gave my Xbox out for repair. The guy tested my Hard Drive and it was Fine, (he said something like if during test it shows less than 100% it's damaged) The issue was simply from the OS and nothing more. He said you have to wait until they release the next Offline Update file. After it came out, he tried it and it worked. My console has been doing fine since I received it, about a week. TLDR : go give to someone so that they repair it. Let them test the Hard Drive first. If it's damaged then simply buy a new one, and if it's not. He has to try other things.

I think it's a firmware corruption during an update I have 5 here which does the same all after an uodate

I also had the same issue. Got to the error thanks to faulty Wi-Fi that got disconnected during an update. So I connected the Xbox to the internet with the Ethernet cable rather than the Wi-Fi. I tried everything. Every single KZbin tutorial didn’t fix the issue. Sadly these Xboxes are shit. Because if these steps don’t work, then there’s a good chance that the drive is fried. Apparently a replacement drive costs about the same as this console used. So my advice would either buy another Xbox and run an Ethernet cable to it. If you can’t, just use it with the Wi-Fi, and shut off your he system and try to find an Ethernet line whenever your system prompts you for an update. As you cannot connect said system back to Wi-Fi if it gets disconnected during a system update.

GUYS I HAVE THE SOLUTION- it’s because of the hard drive inside the xbox or the connecting data/sata cables connecting the hard drive to the motherboard. so what you need to do is buy a new internal hard drive**and this will will most likely fix it, if not, you have to get an 8 dollar sata connection cable. **and the hard drive is 80 ish bucks**
