I just spent $50 on an ink cartridge that wasn’t HP brand, put it into my HP printer, only to have the printer say it will only print using HP ink. HP, you’re scum for putting no warnings about this on your products and wasting your customers money. I can’t wait to never recommend your products to anyone

Yup, I'm throwing out my printer and computer. They literally just "shut off" my ink cartridges and they are not even instant ink, I bought them from the store. My computer has been nothing but trouble too since I bought it a year ago too. I hate HP

What a crock. I was away for a few weeks and my laptop couldn't send anything to the printer when I came back. No ink error message on the printer. Had to re-add the printer to my laptop. This must have updated some software or firmware. Because some generic ink cartridge that was working fine before I left is now rejected as "incompatible". I repeat: it was working fine. The idea any of these lame power off ideas would fix anything is pitiful. HP wants to detect generic cartridges and force you to buy theirs.

I have a Deskjet 3546 and on the HP support websites (Portuguese and English), the solution for all cases were "Sent to Repair Center". I tried all steps; bought a new cartridge and problem persists. I am electronic engineer and could not solve by myself. I only use XL cartridges!

A lot of errors, i like HP but now i regret i buy it, is too annoying and time consuming this problems and they persist. They send to me original cartriges with HP instant ink subscription but the printer keep getting this error incompatible cartridges not original HP...that's funny and very annoying also affects the quality and alignment

I have a HP OJ 8600 Plus. I have had a ink cartridge incompatible error message and I can't get passed this error to use the other features such as scanning. The fact that HP won't allow me to use the other features on this all-in-one printer until the ink issue is resolved is egregious. NEVER BUY A HP PRODUCT! SIMPLY THE WORST PRODUCT I HAVE USED. @HPSupport first off Bought authentic ink cartridges, replaced them and started getting ink cartridges not intended for this printer Reset printer, unplug power, plug back in, etc Cleaned cartridges and cartridges holder Didn't work Bought new cartridges again and issue persists on black ink Tried resetting again At time seems to go thru but error message on ink cartridges not intended for use appear again Is there a fix to this issue, seems like it has become a common problem for hp printers
