If your DualSense controller won't connect to your PS5 system or the controller is just blinking, this quick troubleshooting guide should help. I booted up my PS5 and my PS5 controller won't connect to the console (the controller was blinking). Here is a quick "How To" on fixing this issue by Rebuilding the Database.

To give people a update when having this problem.. you don’t have to rebuild database.. just put the ps5 in safe mode and connect the controller when it ask you to put controller in.. after the ps5 connects your controller just restart ps5 and controller works again

The same thing happened with my ps4. What I did there is turn the ps4 off completely (holding the power button on ps5 until you hear the second beep) than wait for the PlayStation to completely turn off, than disconnecting the power cable from it for a couple seconds. Than connecting it back on, plug the controller in to the PlayStation, and than turn on the PlayStation with the controller.

I found a solution! Because the problem is the wiring being loose in the controller. I figured maybe I just shake my controller very hard and that should at least get something inside moving slightly around. Worked perfectly afterwards.

Hey guys. I had this same problem with two of my controllers and I didn’t know what to do. Luckily, my tv controller was compatible with my PS5, so I just went to power options and restarted my PS5 and it worked for me.

My issue was with the USB cable I was using (not the one that came with the ps5). So I used a stronger cable that I had that can withstand up to 7 Amps and it worked after doing the normal steps (plug it in to ps5 USB port then an update screen pops up then you do that and you're done). This is for official ps5 controllers.

Found a way, open ps remote app and go to the settings then remove your controller from the bluetooth devices. Hold capture button and the ps icon until It blinks then reconnect it

GENIUS NOTHING HELPED ME not even when I called PlayStation was on the phone waiting for someone to answer for hours and they didn’t even know how to fix it all they told me to do was charge it or buy a new one.. heres a solution: Connect a keyboard to your ps5. You can go to the settings then accessories with the keyboard by pressing enter to confirm, using arrows to navigate, and use backspace to go back

dont know if this may help someone but ill leave this just in case! if your using a older model ( cheaper ) charger wire it can be the cause of your issue i switched to a type c charger i have on hand ( it was at this moment i realized i had that option lol ) & boom it magically worked again so i hope that helps & that it made sense

A simplified way to fix this is just to take a toothpick and put it into the little hole in the back of the controller, Thai resets the controller and whenever this happens to me I do this and it always works
