This is a really interesting way to show specifically how that technique works. Everyone can replicate it. Aim teaching has never been this tangible.

I don’t think it’s easy to name this stuff. I noticed this as well, but it’s very hard to teach yourself to remain calm and not put pressure onto your mouse in tense fights

discovered this in duels against really strong aimers in quake 4 and started taking my posture into other games. Works very very well

It's kinda crazy you're making this video now. Cause I just started messing around with this in the last month and have noticed a huge difference. Just a little more brain power being used in lightening up my hand. But, way less brain power in flick shots at high sens. Very much more like the mouse and my hand are one and everything is just more reactive and intitule. I run a glass pad and a pretty light mouse with you mouse grip mod with a 131 style grip for Apex. I was using a sleeve that covered the palm of my hand. But, now I've moved to a sleeve that only goes to my wrist to remind me now to drag my hand on the pad to keep this kinda grip going. That way when I feel my hand dragging on the glass I know that Im going to miss shots. Unless I need tension for tracking. Really can't believe you just made this video. Love your work. Keep it up ma'dude! Love you grip mod! Have a fantastic day!
@4stringbazookaАй бұрын
Side note I DO feel like this grip style would work really well on a cloth pad over the glass though. Still have to test it.

I have hunted for mouse pads that didn't feel sluggish to me. Nothing felt fast enough until I stopped pressing so hard into the mouse pad.

The combination between using the keyboard (A and D) movement with mouse aiming is also a topic. Both changing the view. And both change aiming point.

my uncomfortable table height ingrained this in me naturally, while browsing my wrist slightly lifts up and I kept doing that while aiming.

i do something similar, where i lift my hand off my mousepad to make my aim feel faster for flicks, and rest my hand on the mouse pad to track/be more precise, the difference is i still barely grab my mouse either way, it's more like unlocking my wrist and locking it back in place, and yes this you talk about in the vid is very effective 100% recommend

I’ve heard this referred to before as soft-aiming, which has a good ring to it

some CS pros do that by adapting to some weird mouse grips, and I too found my self doing so after doing many aim training routines. so, your right mate, the technique is probably being done by the majority without them knowing, but the ones who are aware of it will have a consistent aim and improvement. thanks a lot mate for those unique tips, and I can't wait to see more of them, keep it up mate! one more thing, is this mouse your new main now? replacing the G303?
@StruthGaming2 ай бұрын
Yeah I would consider the Pathfinder to be my new main. I still really like the G303 shape, I just wish it had decent LOD.

@Omarock2 ай бұрын
I've always used this technique subconsciously but make sure you adjust the mouse LOD if needed. (I've had issues with sub 50g lightweight mice where a relaxed grip make the sensor lose tracking if LOD is under 2mm)
@crimsontrigger3632Ай бұрын
i did this back in 2016 without even much conscious effort, at all and would switch grip style and techniques on the fly to meet the situation ingame, like long rang and close rang/ . but i was aware of it and would use it more fine tunly my accuracy was insane. the only factor that restricted was forearm endurance as a kid with so much dopamine and other hormones coursing through me. the neuroplastic adaptations to gaming i had were so far reaching this is exactly how so many kids just r so insane they r applying all these hidden mechanics and other things that we normally wouldn't think about . its all unconscious learning, in general more dopamine= more learning in anything

Instantly Aim Better By Gravitymaxxing in the Gym also, i always found this easier to do by just lifting the back half of my mouse, leaving the front skates in contact with the pad.
@kermit_la_mite89792 ай бұрын
That's interesting but i have some questions: - it looks like you add tension to your hand to get that lighter grip, won't it hurt you hand over time ? - does that work as well on a fingertip only mouse ? - does that really work and can you be consistent with it ?
@StruthGaming2 ай бұрын
There's a tiny bit of tension just so the mouse doesn't fall out of the hand. That's no problem, tension can be really useful for aiming when used correctly (here's a vid on it - kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4bNc5Z9nMqnja8). I assume it would work on a ftip mouse, I don't actually own one to test that though. It definitely works and is something most high level aimers are likely doing already. Occasionally after a few bad tracks i'll realize i've gotten lazy and stopped doing this and need to remember to actively do it. Usually it's pretty automatic at this point.
