Just wanted to thank you for the video. My 2002 Golf's radio stopped working after a jump start, and this was the exact problem! Feels great to have music again!

I had the same issue. I checked the main fuse (#42). It was not blown. When I replaced that fuse, the radio turned on. Weird. Maybe the fuse had a small amount of corrosion that prevented it from completing the circuit. I've never had that happen before. But, I'm happy. I just wanted to mention that so others here can try that before they go on to pull out the radio and check the secondary fuse.

I did the first part no special tools just a Swiss army knife wedge lmao. Now I'm on the rest of the disassembly

Update: Swiss army wedge to pop the slotted tabs on The face, then small flathead to pry two corner tabs at a time, possibly pliers to hold the tabs while you finaggle the small flathead into position

Who but Volkswagen would put a secondary fuse that is hidden that apparently blows when you boost the car off. Thanks for video time to get rid of the cheap plastic crap car. Great car if you want to spend your life looking for hidden fuses relays sensors etc.

How's the rate of working without the key in... That means there is constant power to it... Which can drain the battery
@PeterFeltersnatch8525 жыл бұрын
I watched a few of your videos I found you with your video about stripped drain plug... If you're working on Audi and Volkswagen cars you should buy an OBD 11 pro they are $80 on BMP tuning or Amazon will make your whole life EASIER... YW
