I remember practicing without a rod , this motion / the double haul when i still lived on a single room. When i all i had a blurry vhs cassette tape film of guys flyfishing in New Zealand. It was not an instruction video btw. No youtube back then. I made leaps of progress because of practicing, practicing and practicing. If you want something really bad ,you will get it.

I use an 8 weight line rod. Moved to a switch rod last week and man it’s heavy. But the power I can put in the cast is scare. 11ft rod with an 8 weight fast sinking line is a mad cast. Yet to double haul on it though Dan. Good technique
