This is amazing so that you don't have to purchase berries out of season in plastic clam shells or bags! you can buy during summer at famer's markets and use a stasher or other silicone bag instead of a disposable ziploc bag to store your berries. I am excited for berry season!

Now I have an idea of how and what to do when the time comes for me to freeze my boysenberries after they’ve grown. Thanks for the tips!

Useful information, though I just twist the greens off the strawberries with my fingers for more yield. Stay classy

you would want to keep as little air as you can. You could achieve this by putting container with baries to water to let the water push the air out of the bag and immediately zip it.

Does anyone know what is the name of the specific type of bumpy cookie sheet pans used in the video? I tried looking for them online on Amazon and Walmart but couldn't find them. Most pans were smooth, not bumpy like those in the video.

Hello I use a seal vac to freeze my strawberries and they froze pretty good however when I defrosted them they got very mushy they were sitting in a lot of their own juice once defrosted so I’m not sure if that’s why they got so mushy? Any advice? Thanks. To let them defrost I just let them sit in the fridge until they were defrosted. The next morning is when I noticed all the juice and they were mushy.

I’ve just opened the shop brought frozen mixed berries (that come in zip lock bag) I had in the freezer yesterday and they looked slightly moldy?

How long did you keep them in the freezer the first time after removing the moisture?

Overnight or about 8hrs

Why do you wash them first? I know you wash them when you are going to eat them so why before freezing when you will not be eating them at that time? I take a paring knife and cut around the stem and remove the white core under it as this is the part that most people do not like the taste of.

You say wash the berries only when you’re ready to eat them…and then proceed to wash them before freezing lol wtf

Good explanation. I only wish the berries were put in a reusable container. There is so much plastic pollution. It’s time to use other methods than one time use disposable bags.

Yvonne Renoult Maybe once you’ve used the frozen berries, you can wash and reuse the ziplock bag.

I'm sure you could use any kind of container
