Hello Aya. I always found your recipe inspiring! I have a question about the buttercream which will be harden once you chill in the fridge? Do you always eat it the same day you frost it rather than making it a day in advance?
@PastryLivingwithAya2 жыл бұрын
Hello! Yes, it'll get harden just like any other buttercream due to butter inside. If you want softer texture, leave it outside sometime before serving. I try to make it the same day when I can but if that is difficult, I sometimes frost a day before!

As with all your baked goods this is beautiful! I always use cake board to place my cake on which makes it easier to place in the fridge but the edge always shows. I feel like I have to apply the buttercream extra thick to cover it. I would love to see a video explaining what size of circle to use and how to avoid so much buttercream. I am new to baking and love your videos especially the ones with your daughter tasting all your beautiful creations...she is adorable. Happy New Year and thank you!

For how long should you chill the cake before adding the second layer of frosting? Also, will the frosting go flat while the flake is chilling in the fridge? Do you suggest making a second batch of frosting while it’s chilling? Sorry quite ignorant with cake making!

how do you frost a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and a chocolate ganache frosting?
@PastryLivingwithAya Жыл бұрын
The tricky part is that chocolate mousse can melt when the ganache is too warm and ganache can get hardened quickly if it’s cold. I would coat room temperature ganache (not cold) on refrigerated mousse and try to finish coating it asap. Or, if you have a silicone mold, you can also try coating soft ganache all around the surface first and quickly remove chilled mousse from a cake ring(freeze if necessary), drop in the ganache, and chill it in the freezer to remove the cake. That’s 2 options I thought of😅 I hope that makes sense!

Beginners don’t have turn rotating marble or even a flat spatula like that. I wish you would do it for people that are actually beginners like the title says without fancy cake tools.
@kristinay.885211 күн бұрын
These are not fancy cake tools, they are basics. If you want to frost a cake like her these are necessary. Try frosting that cake like that using a regular spoon or a knife. If you're willing to invest in 3 layer cake pans without buying more tools... I just wonder what you were thinking with that idea
@genetimothy786821 күн бұрын
This is anything but a "beginner's tips for any frosting" , beginners do not start with layered cakes, they start with buying a store cake mix like Pillsbury. They then buy frosting in a jar and attempt to frost a super moist cake still in the 13 x 9 pan where the top crumbles and the frosting does not stick and simply makes a mess!! Someone do a video of how to avoid this and then you have a "Beginners tips for frosting"
