This is a god tier tutorial even for the sidechain tutorial I always questioned “do I just sidechain my bass or lead or what?” And you answer straight away. It is like you know a beginner’s mind. Thank you.
@tnkyyy8 ай бұрын
thank you for your kind words!!! in reality the sidechaining really depends on what vibe you're going for in a piece, but i feel that this genre is characteristic of its strong sidechaining. I think the key is that you sidechain the lead by a lesser amount than the bass/chords etc.

im trying to get into furture and kawaii bass rn and theres alot to pack in from this video. What advice would u give to someone who is jus getting started or wants to start right now?
@tnkyyy Жыл бұрын
thats good to hear!! here are a few tips - take reference from songs you like; copy the chord progressions, structure, whatever helps. you could also see if the artists you like have released sample packs; i have some from ones i like (synthion, rejection, mysteka etc.) - the first time you do anything it won't be up to a high standard, so don't compare yourself to others. i haven't seen a skilled producer with less than at least a year's experience - reach out and ask questions about specific things in songs from the creator!! some people have unique tricks for interesting ideas. some other amazing youtubers for guidance around the genre are faisey and windclimb; my discord is tnky if you have any more questions !!

How do you make the electronic elements from the song? (E.g the bass from 1:50) I can't seem to find this sort of instrument...
@tnkyyy Жыл бұрын
hi there! the sound at 1:50 is made up of a sound called a supersaw layered with a saw bass; the name comes from the fact that the sound is based off the saw wave shape. i made these sounds in the free synthesiser 'Vital' which is often used in this genre :0.. there are plenty of tutorials which explain how to use them :)

@@tnkyyy Oh! Ok, I get it. Thanks so much! no one has really told me how or what they were... Thanks!
