I came out of my shell, then decided to crawl back in. A lot of women were confused during this process. Now I’m on meds to overcome my shyness. I might just go talk to the people across the street that I haven’t talked to the past 10 years since I moved in.

I was always a shy guy, not knowing what to say to girls, and treated it like it was a flaw, until I discovered that timidity can make a guy be seen as mysterious, and that is my power now. So, guys, if you're shy, just play the mystery card. That will give you some confidence. Embrace your timidity and have a little faith in yourself. Don't tell her about your insecurities, and even you have to get rid of them at some point. And what is the best way to get rid of anything harmful? Exactly! Never talk about it again. Also don't ever apologize for who you are, rather embrace it with open arms.

Meee tooo! I actually switched schools in Grade 10 to start fresh and try to be outgoing. I faked it but still felt horribly, painfully shy inside. It was a long time before I really truly deep down in the abyss of my soul got over it completely. (A bit dramatic, I know!!) How did you get over your shyness, Andre? Did you do specific things or did it just sort of dissipate after awhile? xo AJ

I've always been sort of shy, particularly when it comes to talking to women. I've really been trying hard to go to different places for more opportunities to meet girls, but I keep hesitating and either say "hi," awkwardly, or say nothing at all. I talk to girls I work with though, but when I want to ask someone out on a date it's like the words can't come out. And now I'm getting deployed overseas in 6 months and I really want to try and get over this by then and have some form of a relationship with a female before I leave.

Hey, thanks for commenting! You are not alone. Soooo many guys are in the same boat as you, even guys who in another day and age would've been considered confident are losing their cool because women are more complicated than ever these days, you just don't know how they're going to react. So guy's hesitation is totally valid. Nonetheless, if you want to get a GF, you gotta get over that gun shy attitude. I ain't saying it's easy. (I got over painful shyness but it took a lot of trial and error to figure out how.) One thing I will say is that you've got to ditch the mission to get a gf before you deploy, my friend. Otherwise, there's going to be an underlying element of desperation that chicks will pick up on right away. Women are so intuitive that way. Change the mission to: meet and or talk to as many women as possible before you go. That's more within your control. Start with my cheatsheet and watch my videos on confidence / shyness. FREE INSTANT CONFIDENCE Cheatsheet: wingmam.com/icf/ I worked with a guy who had a similar story, he was cool and even confident with women at work unless / until he liked them, then he'd become paralyzed. Anyway, he went through my program (not free) and he got a girl within a month. (Turns out she wasn't the right girl, but it broke the seal. Now, he's with a new girl.) I was painfully shy way into adulthood even though I read dozens of books on it. It was until I started "doing" that I got over it. (I distilled what worked for me into my wakeup2luv course, but the cheatsheet and the $7 program it leads to will kick start you, IF you use it. I promise.) billy Man completely understand for sure I mean I'm a introvert . when it comes to talking to a female I tend to get shy as well. but I talk to females at my job An I am never nervous. but then when you take the step to want to ask them do you want to go on a date. you have a fear that you might get rejected.

1st, you never put a deliver by date on your next love. You most likley will be just settling if you find one by an arbitray date. Deploying on a new love is self torture any way, taking from a guy "Dear Johned" in Nam. if you talk to them at work fine until you are interested in them

@@samuelepps5733 Don't ask them out on a date, rather invite them to do something with you that you already have planned. It shows them you have a life and don't care about any outcome. Just invite them into your life. For example, "I'm having dinner at place if you would like to join me..." does a lot more than asking them directly...

Thanks again Anna. My definitions of Shy and Introvert are now much clearer and, therefore, I can sort through just what I must do to lesson the strain that shyness has had on me all my life. That being said, I have really put myself out of my comfort zone lately and benefited greatly. Even my friends have noticed a change in me. One of the things that I have done that I would never imagined is apply to two dating sites...Yes, I actually did. And I have met a woman. We text on a regular basis. No in person contact, but the texts have been very good practice for my shy inflection. She has, and continues to, benefit as well. Unfortunately I am out of her age zone...I am 4 years too old. Another topic for another day, ay?

I'm pretty shy and a little introverted , my problem is conversation skills and coming across as a dick since I'm more quiet and don't have alot of confidence for exp I had multiple girls approach me and my anxiety was bad so I came across as uninterested and a asshole since I didn't really ingauge in conversation and didn't make eye contact .

You're really sweet and sincere. I definitely need to get off my butt and go talk to more people. I'm introverted AND shy. I have a fear of rejection & abandonment, so I just don't approach, or get close to people when I feel there's risk to facing these things. So I end up just isolating myself, but it's getting really boring & sad. I'm almost 30, and still have only 2 girlfriends under my belt 😂 I definitely want more relationships so I can home in on the future mother of my children. I want kids & a lovely spouse, and just have that support at home that belongs to me and no one else. Parents love can only fulfill be so much, I need my own family.

You know what I found out If you are an introvert-just go outside Trust me. Trust me! Huge introvert, but raves, concerts, artsy bars, book places if your a huge nerd, anime shops or goodwills are a nice place just to met people. I just stood there and anxiety fuels adrelenine and bam. People are insecure too. They anxiety is always there but you learn to tame it. I have no problem in large gatherings with or by myself

1. Don’t avoid people. It’s the worst thing I could possibly do. Every time I avoid someone it reinforces that behavior.

Yeah self-isolation ruined me. I just feel like a deer in headlight, and I dont even have to be in a particularily crowded area. Social anxiety/agoraphobia is the worst, I just feel dizzy when I have to talk to somebody, that I dont consider a friend yet. Not giving up hope, but I am sick of avoiding any opportunities to get to know a girl.

i tried dating sites and no one picked me and nevr got response from me sending messages. i formed a meetup and no one came to 10 evernts i sceduled. big waste of money for both.

Oh Heck yes. Life begins out of our comfort zone. I am introverted but no longer shy, start with baby steps just like Wing Girl says. As for being introverted there are plenty of introverted women in this world and they prefer introverted men. Birds of a feather flock together. ;))

As a introvert I enjoyed this video. This is a really general question but why do all dating videos get back to the singular idea of confidence as being key to getting a girlfriend ? Isn't a relationship suppose to be about open communication and vulnerability ? Confidence as it is touted by certain dating videos, not this one, seems fake and paradoxical to those two core ideas of what a good relationship should be founded upon ?
