My dad was known as a "Gentleman's Gentleman" I'm fortunate to have learned from him how to be a Gentleman to everyone. He did not have to tell me how to be one. I learned from watching and observing his behavior ever since I was a child. The reason I'm saying this is because I was always the nice guy that women did not want to date. After many years of failed relationships and growing a lot older (I'm almost sixty-seven now) I found a very intelligent woman who had the same type of experiences with abusive men. One of my biggest recommendations to men (and women) is to always be kind, considerate and loving to your partner. It is not always easy but in the end your efforts will produce positive results!

Thinking back on my dating history, I find it VERY easy to say "no" to certain types of women.....and of course these are the women I end up dating or doing naughty things with with ease. The women who I really desire, I get all tougne tied and just agree with everything they say. On very rare occasions I get lucky and find a desirable lady who has just enough areas that I disagree with and we end up having a satisfying relationship. I guess my issue is trying not to disagree too strongly. I can get very passionate about certain things. Still reading your book Anna. Book review to come later.🤪

Hi Anna, I read your most recent blog, and must say that you handled it like a trooper. I've learned that there are times where health issues will boost courage in order to get things repaired that you would normally be afraid to have done. i sincerely take my hat off to you (baseball cap in particular). Prayers go out to you and hoping your pain diminishes rather quickly. I enjoyed this video as always, and make new discoveries every episode. I went through the nice-guy syndrome for decades, and discovered it didn't work well for me; even though there was total sincerity behind it. I've discovered being a little hard-nosed works better. Why, I will never know. i will never try to figure out women 100%; because no man will ever. If the book on what makes women tick was as huge as 10 copies of war and peace, I still will never understand the logic because there isn't any. Besides, I have an array of step ladders, and don't need the books to stand on LOL. Happy to hear that you are recovering. Its not about how fast, but slow and steady. Many sincere hugs to you XOXO :)

You're totally insightful, Anna All my experiences substantiate these comments. For years I tried to be nice to a troublous motherinlaw and sister in law which only dragged me down. I've always been too attractive to ladies, but loyal, too. It was foolish to endure mischievous inlaws

So it's a desired trait for a man to stand up to bad in-laws?
@YourWingmam4 жыл бұрын
If any self-respecting man would, yes. That doesn't have to mean being mean or losing temper, but it could mean setting boundaries. More on this in part 2/3. :) Always a good idea to figure out if your beliefs and values around potential in-laws and extended family are in alignment before you get hitched. Always a good idea to make sure your beliefs and values align in general beforehand. If they don't align, you're in for a rocky relationship throughout.

@yarnarrutor94184 жыл бұрын
@@YourWingmam A non-negligible % of in-laws are outright abusive (due to complacency and narcissism). Having boundaries with bad in-laws is probably going to look like being 'mean' even if temper is never lost. I think this is an area where, if a woman has toxic in-laws, she's going to want her man to be 'weak' around them.

I found that so much modern dating advice is either straight garbage or for someone else's circumstances. I am a very masculine man, I work out, can fix anything, am an engineer, I can do all the masculine things but im also very open about my feelings in that I express love often, bring flowers, buy meals, text each morning and each night, hold doors, pullout chairs etc. And to follow the advice out there would mean I need to play games or be disingenuous. Points to ponder. 1) Women have difficulty if they have too many choices. There are millions of examples and jokes about this but it is true. 2) Before the internet, before social media, a woman would only know men that they actually "met". She was not provided with any "profile" or any such thing. Women didn't know what other women wanted or thought of men except for the other women she actually knew or a few magazine articles she would read. I am old, very old! I can tell you, back before social media, women looked for men based on pretty solid requirements. Perfect bodies, perfect faces, certain tattoos, etc. was never a criteria. A man would have to be reasonably physically attractive, be of good character and have either high status or at least potential to achieve it. IMO-this is a major reason people are finding it so difficult and confusing to have successful relationships. They are looking for the wrong qualities and have far too many choices.

Hello Twinkling eyes. Good to see you! You look attractive, you sound magnetic to me Craig the critical talking to self about my proximity where it's dead as a door nail aggressively here;)× in GB. You look as though music or singing is a real thing you can do especially in at 8.58 secs.

Resolve is there for a reason. It is enormously tough. You may dream, you may aspire to things, you may plan a future with a step by step breakdown. But actually sticking to something and following through is tough and often costly. In a way it defines us.

New shampoo? New squeeze? New hair stylist? New diet? Your hair! Suits you very well, you've got that effervesence back coach. Jiggle the parting could be a smidgen to the right to be more symmetrical. I'm nitpicking, looks really nice, sets off those classy earrings perfectly. No I'm not buttering you up for anything. I really like Anna's new do though. Guys notice finer details to you know? Bet the ranch we do! 🤔🌹

Don't tell Corey I said this, but you are WAY better than him, as a dating coach for men that is. I've binged on plenty of his videos, however, you have some distinct advantages. For one, he drags on too much, and goes off topic. Second, you are a woman, so you are in a better position to analyze the internals of a woman's mind. You explain things in a concise and clear cut manner, that guys can understand. Finally, you are capable of not just stating rationale, but can explain why, in counter-intuitive situations. You are actually a godsend for guys. Yes, I just said that.

Praying for your swift and complete healing, dear lady! By His stripes you were healed! As to the list: absolutely dead-center, girl! That's from a man who was married for 34 years, and spent far too much time learning to say "no" and not be so "nice". When I got the right approach, our relationship became better than ever. God's got you, Anna! Eyes fixed on Him and He will guide your path. Praying for you, even more now than I have been! -- Russ P

I do appreciate you, yet ideally men should teach men how to be men. So many women leave their marriages and then young men don't have a dad to teach them. I believe in being kind, protecting and providing, but if you are trying to please a woman and lose yourself, get rid of her. There are still women out there who value a good man even though it is rare.

Good advice. I think there’s always a sweet spot in how to act and accomodate a woman vs how much leeway you allow before you say, “no I’m not changing myself.”

I agree 100%. A lot of young boys are being raised by their mothers since divorce is so high and 98% of the women get the children. A boy being raised by their mother are doomed to not understand what its like to be a man. Boys raised by their mother are totally confused growing up regarding relationships.

Having a "pen is" important. You can write down ideas with it. 😀 Also, wearing a watch is important. Shows people your time and their time is important and respected.
