How to get an absolutely FILTHY wheel and tire clean...and what to use!!! All For Under $6!!

forgot to mention Brian i love my ez detailing brush for the wheels, only has no thing u have to watch for as you will know using it pulling it out a little bit to quick from a tight area gets you sprayed with cleaner lol....i also bought the mini one but have never used it....

Still quite a bit of browning left on the tire but as a wheel cleaner it seems pretty decent

The way the cleaner turned in to syrup right after landing on the tire... I believe a heavy tire gel was used... but you are absolutely correct.

Great video Brian as always,I always get the wheels that have this mortar like substance on the barrels of the wheels that almost never wants to cut loose. I have even used MWB full strength with little success. This may be the ticket as my Dad used to say ,thank you for sharing this!

I have similar wheels and I find the painted black sections get a bit swirled and lose that deep glossy shine. What would be your recommendation on how to polish those difficult tight painted sections of the wheels? I'd love to see a video on that.

have you tried this in the IK Foamer? I'm curious to see how it would do if you foamed it and didnt scrub the wheels. Just hit the wheels with a pressure washer.

Apex Detail, it’s definitely viewed as a good tire cleaner. Label says product is good for hard plastics. Have you found other uses for 505? The description “degreaser” is used very loosely in detailing. Meg super/purple po/super clean/Zep Citrus/simple gr, are all greasers but so different on different surfaces.

I spray two at a time.. one side... then start to scrub. Seems to be just the right dwell time👌🏻

that's what i do Brian i'd start cleaning the back first cos as a rule no where near as bad , and by the time that's done all the worst stuff is broke down ready for a once over lol....

For un-maintained clients I dilute 50/50 with great results ... 4:1, not only very cost effective, works excellent for well maintained wheels, so I keep both dilutions in stock. It also works great as a paint prep / road film remover at 4:1 ratio. I believe Brian stated in another comment that he uses it full strength.

When it comes to Nanoskin... use at full strength to get the best results each use. If surfaces are lightly soiled.. go ahead and water it down👍🏻

I use meguiar’s non acid wheel and tire cleaner, it works great when used straight, this product looks like a copy of that honestly. The Meguiar’s is a lot cheaper too!

I'm planning on buying some, too. Gallon sizes are available on Nanoskin's site, FWIW. The plan is to try a few NS products over the course of the following months and then place a big order toward March. So far, I'm definitely getting a gallon of the glass cleaner and the stuff in the vid. Sure is cheap enough.
