Great video. Would love to see other OEM tools set up walkthroughs. I also would imagine programming would not be an option if you have to log on to a portal for calibration bin files. I would imagine Chyrsler has their micropods serialized and will need to be registered. Still a great tool to have to perform OEM functions and to view OEM parameters.

I would like to re-initialize the ABS module on a 2019 Jeep GC Limited that is giving a UO418 after the small battery died. Will this set up help me accomplish that, or gain access to the secured gateway to clear the codes. Do I need the bypass module?

I have a 1991 Cherokee which is obviously obd-1 and to my understanding I am gonna need the PCMCIA card which is an add on to the drb-III. Tell me if I'm not understanding that right but I was wondering if that is included with the cracked version and if not can you please provide me with a work around. Iam getting this error when I select the micropod2 in witech 17.04.27 on win7sp1: The registration server could not be reached. But I can reach the micropod on his ip and could configurate it (never do this). Date is 01.01.2017 and it's offline.

I first connect the micropod 2 clone to the car, key to ACC, then connect it to PC. After 30 seconds the offline internet change to connected but without access to www. So it's working correctly sightly. I can reach the ip of the micropod 2 Device, so it's there. Yes, I checked the obd port of the Chrysler 300 2012 with an Elm, it's ok. Any Tipps?

I haven't worked on any that new, but wheel speed sensors do normally need programed. An ABS module would. But no the chines clone micropod will not program.

@@PaoloAnzio I haven't tested it yet, as I moved to another state and haven't brought the car to my new address yet. a friend bought a vetronix mastertech mts 3100 which supposedly can diagnose all the car's systems but I'm not sure if it can program the key fob. I intend to test in the following months.

I will work for a 2002 Jeep. But most scan tools with SRS support will read the Airbag codes and reset the light too. The Zurich SR11s at harbor freight will do it. The SR15s will even do live data from the SRS. I haven't tried for from a Mac VM, but it should work fine.

I was told that because of the 2002 model year only DRBIII can communicate with airbag module to reset the light because of the difference in bus protocol (PCI vs CAN). So I have purchased this chinese micropod 2 but i have also purchased a Jbox compatible with witech2 I've tried everything to program this dodge dart im working on but when i get to installing the flash files for the PCM it doesnt allow me to download the files. I also am trying to set up my gaming laptop solely to program vehicle and would like to know how. So far this video has helped me with alot and i greatly appreciate it. If you are talking about the "Local Link for DRB 3" that is a local link. That actually points back to a loopback address on your computer. I will not work unless you have installed and done everything on your computer, then you can make a short cut to it to run it.

You will need a real micropod that can be registered with Mopar to load updates, or a J2534 box to load updates with a J2534 program. Chrysler will know that you Micropod 2 is fake and won't let you load updates with it. I used a Chinese clone of a GM MDI2 (Which is a clone of a Bosch) to load updates with the J2534 program. I won't program all modules with J2534 though, but I will do a ECM just fine. I do video on the setup here. Hey frugal pepper, I managed to follow all your steps and got to the stub folder. I installed all DRBstub, enhanced DRB stub and the KDA stub but only enhanced stub and KDA would allow me to do a update. The first DRB stub wouldn't update. Would that matter for everything to work or no? When I try to update it is says: setup cannot continue because of the following error: an internet communication error occurred error code:404

Are you connected to the internet on it. The 404 error tells me it is trying to download the update from the website and it can't see it. As long as you have the enhanced stub you should be alright.

I am not sure. I haven't programmed any Chryslers that new. but I believe they encrypted everything in 18, or may it have been 19. So you have to be registered with Mopar and have a licensed module to communicate and program modules. You need to have a security certification, be a real business to get the software to program them.

No 2017 and older only. You will need the real module and the real software to do yours because in 2018 the introduced encryption. You also have to have a security certificate or be a registered lock smith to get access to that software.

Yes there are some that don't work well with DRB3 from what I hear. I would buy one that says it specifically supports DRB3 to be sure. Luckily mine did not, but it does work with it.

Well I haven't tried programming from online with it, so I don't know. It could be that it recognizes the device isn't a valid serial number. It could also be and invalid pin for the car. The module may have been replaced before and has a PIN that doesn't match the serial number.

I don't know. I have work on PT of that vintage with mind and it will communicate with the ABS module. I have heard some people say that some of these modules will not work on the older Lower speed LAN connection. Mine does and it was a cheap one, but maybe there are some that don't

I want to fix rev/mile for different tire size. My maxisys Elite won't do it, so I'm hopeful this will work. I'm also looking to activate the spare tire readout for tire pressure. I'm told this is possible with a DRB III, so hopefully I can find the right page once I get everything working.

When I installed the first stub and it updated, same version as you, I ran the second file and it says a newer version is already installed and it would not install it. I wonder why it behaves differently than yours

I think need the hardware to create the loop back. That IP doesn’t exist in the Witech without it. With your setup are you able to read TCM and other modules besides PCM? A jeep forum had a guy and engineer who had to solder something to get it to read others. Interesting. I’ll try this also if I get it going.

No, in 2018 Chrysler started using a Security Gateway Module that encrypts all communications with the modules. So you can only get Generic OBD2 and some limited bidirectional controls, but for the Chrysler software you must have a real tool and an active subscription with Chrysler which requires you to be a dealership, registered/approved auto repair business, or a locksmith. To put and end to this crap support Right to Repair legislation in your area.

He may have to go release it from his account before you can register it to yours though, or you may have to call there support.

No , I will not because you have to have a subscription to Mopar to get past the Security Module. It encrypts all the traffic to the Micropod. All you can get from it is basic Global OBD2 information.

If you are talking about the "Local Link for DRB 3" that is a local link. That actually points back to a loopback address on your computer. I will not work unless you have installed and done everything on your computer, then you can make a short cut to it to run it.

Make sure you windows is set to United States. Window s shuts down wifi where 2.4GHZ is not allowed in that country.

Can't do it with a Clone on a 2021. There is now a security gateway module on 2018 and up that prevents it unless you have a real tool with a real subscription and you have to be an authorized shop.

DRB 3 comes with the WiTech download in the description. You then have to go into the program data folder and install it after you install WiTech. See 30:40
