Physical is a component of the game for me the soul of the game is in the joy and technical side and creativity and playing side of the game and winning of course u can even be a little overweight or not physicaly a beast like zidane or iniesta if youre really good with the ball on your feet u can still boss it around . Even like De bruyne, a real G of a player. (Id like to see a documentary on kevin debruyne). ! thats kind of how i understand the game also, by playing winning, pressing, football IQ etc..... A good frame for that is the pysical interesting video look forward to more on different aspects them.

Go ask pros, most of us here never made it very far in football. Send emails and call coaches and keep asking questions. But remember information without application is useless. So focus on the basics until u are the best u can be. Set goals, eat healthy, get good sleep, and always do your homework

are you joined in a football academy, or is it just "for fun" sunday league? if you're not in a football academy, then you should. a serious football academy has program to shape their youth to became a pro.. you might need to pay if you are considered "not gifted" (not scouted and offered scholarship) pay to be trained and shaped is not necessarily a bad thing, not gifted at very young age doesn't mean you cannot develop yourself to be great player in the future (gifted = leo messi, hard work = CR7)

Goretzka is just a bad example. Since Goretzka growed muscles he is only injured to be honest. Muscle size does just nothing in football. Many footballers dont even know how to work out ( Benzema workout routine) for example and he is one of the best players in the world. And some are huge ( Adama Traore) and bring nothing else to the table. In my opinion a functional training does make sense, like to come back from injurys or for regeneration, but overall size will do nothing in this sports. If you wanna become a professional football player it is about playing football with the ball on the feet 24/7. Running, with and without the ball. The gym is like 1% of it overall
