I quit smoking weed a month ago, and I have just started to remember my dreams and I’m having nightmares of things I did 20 years ago… (it’s just starting to slow down)also I’m waking up feeling like someone punched me in the frontal cortex. My hypothesis is that REM sleep helps decalcify the brain, and when you’re addicted to substances it interrupts this process.

Good question. Since always I have at least 5 different dreams every night, every day of my life. These past 3 months, I have been taking some sleeping pills and I barely have 2 dreams per week. Those vivid dreams are gone 😭 so I can say that sleeping pills do affect REM sleep

I slept walk when I was a kid for years, part of your brain is asleep part of it is awake lol. It’s mostly harmless but a little scary for others.

What are the effects of being tortured for a year from people below me and above me in my apartment using base speakers to keep waking me up so I never get rem sleep?

Well I can tell you that will definitely screw you up I work 3rd Shift for a few years trying to sleep in the middle of the day is very hard another big one is light I have a CPAP machine so I can breathe under a black t-shirt to block out the light CPAP machine let's light in my sleep scores go through the roof when I do this I have a townhouse in the landscapers like coming through at 7:30 in the morning so definitely going to bed early on Monday

Bro I got rem sleep in like 5 mins idk how but all of brain were slowing down and my heart is slowing down but then I got like kinda paranoid I could not move I was trying to say help but all I hear is mmm!!mmmm!!! I could not talk but now I got outta it I was trying my best to move😞

My son has the same reaction to chocolate. Eating Count Chocula cereal or any chocolate before bed gives him nightmares or really weird dreams.

Snore get to the point. last chapter is actual what it’s supposed to be about…even then it’s nothing significant. For a sleep doctor I’d thought there would be more relevant a divide
