I'd be interested on getting into affiliate income. Perhaps Tamron? I have the 24-70 and 15-30 f/2.8 coming in this week I could perhaps make a video on? Is that how it works?

Tim, I subbed you when i first purchased my mavic 1 year ago and You had 10-13k subs..you got me off the ground with your vid series. thanks for that. i love to drone now..your doing it daddy! awesome! Im who you described. i started for fun and now im full on in. Im a plumber from jersey and started with surf vids and now has lead to plumbing vids...thanks for the insight on monetizing. I am at 833 subs and now you need 1000 subs and 4000 hours of views. that was just updated in jan 2018. Benjamin, my advice is to just start, bro. Get that first video out. It doesn't have to be perfect. In fact, it most definitely won't be. But every time you hit upload, it will get better. Just gotta start. A phrase i use all the time is "Done is better than Perfect!"

Hi Timothy, I just started at the end of 2017 and am now up to 300 subscribers. My problem is that I'm only 10, Dutch, and do not really speak English well (working on it). I see this as a (small) handicap (smaller audience). 90% of my subscribers are Dutch. I do add English subtitles to my video's (when I have time). Anyway. My goal is to keep having fun in making original video's (releasing one every week). In the Netherlands we have a saying: We zien wel waar het schip strandt. Started KZbin like 10 year ago my content has always just been uploading all random content i make with no specific genres so it could be hiking or cooking or drones etc anything really. When monetization came around i was only making about $100 a year. My channel has never gained any traction. And now as technology is better i have better equipment and do better editing but it wasn't enough. And now KZbin has removed my monetization because i only have 333 subscribers and not enough views. I'm not really sure where to go from here especially when the main part of being a successful content creator is having a specific genre for your channel. I don't know what i could specifically base my channel on Instead of just random stuff i upload. My whole life i always loved taking pics of everything and video recording everything but it was never anything specific. I'm not sure where to go from here because id love to be a content creator. But i guess i just lack the content that people might be interested in.

Hi, Timothy. Nice job. It's a hobby for me. I joined way back (joined 9 years 11 months ago, in April 2008 and my first video was posted 7 years ago, in August 2010). I posted six more over the next few years, until I got the Mavic Pro. Now I have a purpose and I post when I have something I think is interesting.... I would like to turn it into an income source, but haven't had the initiative to get started. What I'd really like to do is post VLOGs and reviews. (I have a Removu K1 I'd love to review, but it's just been a series of false starts, not knowing what I'm doing. And not at all happy with the sound.) As for the VLOGs, once again, not sure how to start. How does one build storytelling skills from nothing? So maybe it's a pipe dream rather than a hobby. But I get some pleasure from what I have been able to do. 😆 So there it is., finally laid out. ☺

It's just a hobby for me. I have been off for over 2 years with bad knees (paramedic supervisor) and multiple surgeries so I needed a hobby. Drones and cameras started to interest me. I jump on KZbin and started researching drones and cameras. Bought a P3S and a Canon SX60....started making videos. Upgraded to the Mavic Pro and Lumix FZ300 (4K) 6 months later. That's how I found your channel (Mavic Pro). I have purchased PowerDirector 16 and continue to make videos at "ryanbiscobarnes" on KZbin. Not many views except for a few videos but like I said its just a hobby, though I get excited when someone subscribes to my channel (at 53). My line is "a whole lot of nothing and a little bit of something"., I'm kind of all over the place with my videos, with my prime focus so far being aerial videos. Keep up the great work.
