We learned in Psychology about the Ben Franklin effect. If I remember correctly, he asked an political enemy to lend him an very expensive book. His enemy was so suprised by being asked for this book, that he lent it to Ben. After a while, this enemy started to think he liked Ben, otherwise he would have never done this thing.

How could you ever feel vulnerable Dan - you are an inspiration - the voice in my ear🥰
@TheWizardOfWords
@TheWizardOfWords 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Molly! Everyone feels vulnerable at one time or another. The question is--what do you do, how do you act and basically who are you? You carry on (hopefully), mindfully but mustering all your strength, and you remember that you are a valuable human being who will not allow anyone to diminish you. In other words "feeling" vulnerable is not the same as "acting" vulnerable. 😎

I am very much appreciative for your shared tips with us. I don’t understand why they don’t teach us in school so I wouldn’t waste my 50 of my previous life. Gracias 😁

Hi again... Still watching and still enjoying your pointers! Thank you for what you do. I noticed there is some background noise that can be heard in your videos at times (like this one). Hard to tell if it's people or music, but I just wanted to let you know that it's a little distracting. Otherwise, your delivery is spot on! Thanks again!

I will add that to my list, Shrishti. In the meantime, here's a tip. Always start with "I'm Shrishti," as opposed to "My name is Shrishti." In other words, do it the way people do who see themselves as powerful and important. Think about the difference. Would Oprah Winfrey say "Hi, my name is Oprah Winfrey" or would she say "I'm Oprah Winfrey, and you are . . . .?" Same with Obama or Trump or . . . . That's generally a good opening line: "Hi, I'm Shrishti, and you are . . . .?"
