Amazing job, Adam! As a collegiate XC runner, you are seriously motivating me with all your videos and shorts. Of course, running in the marathon Olympic trials is impossible for me, but I would love to run marathons and train hard like you. You are very inspiring in everything you’re doing. Keep it up! I’m rooting for you!!!

Hi Adam, I know you cover a lot about marathon training. I am a 5k runner (I just broke 19) and was wondering if you could make a video on how 5k training works? E.G. mileage, intensity, key workouts. Thanks!

i need help breaking into the 19s. Ive been able to hit low 20s in practice without dying but for some reason in races i do way worse. what am i doing wrong and how do i fix it?

@@yna418 idk anything about your training, racing strategy, etc, but if it’s a physical issue just keep getting that aerobic base and mix in speed work. You’ll get there eventually. If it’s a mental issue, try a different method of pacing, be competitive with teammates, don’t worry about time too much. It’ll just take time unfortunately

@@jonahmays its a little bit of everything. Im not at my prime level of fitness because i was injured for 3 months (and still have lingering pain from it) and i also feel like i dont pace well. my coaches always tell me to go out slower but whenever i go out slow i find it difficult to get faster even though i have energy

7:11 yep, nothing new on race day! Not just in running, in every sport. Been there done that, was standing on the side of the road of two flat tires in a 40 km individual time trial on the bike 🙂.

Other than the cushioning the toe drop won’t work the same on a treadmill as the road

Did you ever test the running economy of the endorphin elites against the alphafly 1? I suspect the alphafly 1 is better, at least according to economy testing from labrat rundown, but it could be different for you.

how does your mileage look a week before the race? I know you average 100 mile weeks typically, but what about the final week or final couple weeks?

Good luck! Great vid! Small criticism that might be just me, but the arcade sound you use at each step is really uncomfortable. Sounds don’t usually bother me, but this one sends a shiver up my spine 🤷‍♂️
