I just force my head into a pain spot and hold it there for like 3 minutes, pain goes from very bad to very mild, I do this at every angle where I turn my head and it hurts then when it just feels mild everywhere I'd either just leave it alone or roll my neck around and it's out fairly quickly

The excerices in this video? I did those too and they worked for me, but as he said, it's to manage the pain. I had to keep doing them throughout the day until my body fixed itself. That being said, I miss my balance ball. When I get a crick in my neck, I would lay on my balance ball, chest down, and completely relax on it. I'd turn my head from one side to the other then take my legs and push forward so that the pressure moved all the way from the top of my neck down to my mid back just above my waist. It felt SO good. Loosened up my entire back. Then I would lay on my back on the floor, knees up and bend, slightly apart, and looking up, I would raise my head and neck and try to touch my chest with my chin, alternating with my hips tilted up, back and flat. And with a flat back I'd keep turning my head to the right and left. Then I'd put a hot compress on my neck and back, (really a wet towel in a plastic bag), over my neck and shoulders for about 5 minutes. 10 to 15 minutes of that and it was like I never had a crick in my neck. For me though, I had bad posture. Lots of lower back pain. I spent years working with my back hunched over, and when I started using proper posture positions, (like sitting in a chair properly, walking with my back straight, etc.), I started getting tugs and pulls and sprains in my back. Some places were really weak? And I'd wake up with cricks in my neck. My chiropractor gave me those exercises to do, because the alternative was back surgery. I still get cricks in my neck, but they are rare, and keep getting rarer.

Hey guys I’m in so much pain and something that actually helped me was slowly moving my neck to the side that hurt and gradually getting farther. It hurt so bad but if you hold it there for like 10 seconds the pain will slowly disappear. This has been the worst pain I’ve ever experienced from a crick.
