So many videos say that we have to juice the kale. Is there something wrong with eating the actual vegetable itself without mixing it with something else to ruin the flavor? I remember about 50 years ago my mother told me that if I wanted to stay youthful forever I needed to chew my food very well because that would increase the muscles in my face and keep my skin from sagging. She told me that when you're chewing your food that is exercise for your face and it increases the absorption of the nutrients in the food. Of course I am mid 50s so that could just be an old mothers tale. And yes I've purchased well over 25 or 30 juicers since the 80s. I just don't use them for vegetables because for some odd reason I want to be able to taste the actual flavor of the produce to see if the lack of nutrients in the soil's are affecting its flavor.
@Drberg6 жыл бұрын
Kale can be eaten, although it may be too bitter for one's preference, that is why it is suggested to be juiced along with other vegetables and or a cup of berries.

Sometimes consuming a salad or green juice is boring. This is a quick way to get the greens. You can put a little chicken, beacon and cheese. And it’s delicious.

CJCSDGirly how long had you use the collagen powder before noticing less wrinkles and better skin?
@Baseballgirly1007 жыл бұрын
@Linda Johnson- I'm only 35-years- old-- I look over a decade [young] younger for my age and I have no wrinkles so I really can't answer your question on that but, what I can answer is that my skin is baby smooth, soft, my hair is growing like weeds (very fast) and is much thicker, my nails are growing WAY TOO FAST (I hate it!), my eyelashes are growing very long & think ( they look like fake lashes, and my lips are more full and pouty. I use this with other herb's & minerals added with the Collagen such as Silica, hyaluronic acid etc. I say between 3- to- 4 months when I started to see results. So all of the things combined I take together has all helped with everything that I've mentioned. I think it will help with wrinkles even though I have none yet. :)

Years ago, a British study found that eating tomato puree (combined with olive oil) every day increased levels of pro-collagen in the skins of test subjects; which then led to more collagen in the skin, after 2 months. It was most likely due to the lycopene in the tomato puree that caused this., since lycopene had been found (in previous studies) to inhibit the breakdown of collagen in the skin. The tomato puree has to be eaten with fat, since lycopene is fat soluble; hence the olive oil.

When they say you'll never be the same, they aren't just talking about weight. It's true that ones physique will not be the same. But your life changes forever as your now a mommy for life. ❤

I ate kale the other day, chopped up and boiled it for 4 minutes first, and I STILL ended up writhing with stomach pains for over an hour. Respect to anybody who can eat kale raw in a smoothie, because I am not up to it.

I am the same way with mature kale but if you can find baby kale I have found it doesn’t bother me at all. Give it a try

I personally have applied this approach in a non direct way, and the results can be esthetically helpful, but the internal side of this alters your health tremendously..it takes time and it's a the process of a learning curve..
