Amazing advice and information here. I’ve suffered from horrible dark eye circles that were acquired after developing an auto immune condition. I went to an immunologist to figure out what I’m allergic to and turns out it was basically every pollen in the world and a few foods. After cutting out those foods and addressing my environmental allergies, my dark circles have lightened tremendously. They’re still a bit dark bc environmental allergies are very difficult to avoid, but they’re at least 70% better and my nose is way less stuffy and I don’t get sore throats from post nasal drip anymore

Great video! I had no idea that my Rhinitis for which I take daily Fexofenadine for, could be one of the reasons for dark circles. For those of you who want some decent sunscreens (im a makeup & skincare youtuber) look into Korean sunscreens. They are the best and amazing for brown/black skintones as they leave no white cast. Most of them anyway. Canmake Tokyo, Beauty of Joseon, Purito....just a few of the best ones I've tried to recommend to you all and they do not burn the eyes 💕

Living in sunny Florida, and never using sunscreen(I honestly thought sunscreen was for white folks) I would try and combat my hyperpigmentation with more hydroquinone and once I stopped using it always comeback. Resulting in a face and neck 2 shades darker than the rest of my body. I was so frustrated for years! Thank God for you shedding light,your regime is the only thing that has worked for me! THE ONLY ISSUE I HAVE now are my bumps on my nose, I'm not sure what it's called I think it's some sort of cystic acne under the skin that formed a few years ago, I wasn't sure if I needed SURGERY 😥 please help!

Pls to see Dr. ALEXIS STEPHENS CHANNEL She's a great dermatologist in Florida she deals with skin of color you can watch her and you can see make an appointment and see her in office.. also Hydroquinone can't use for long you have to use it for like 2 or 3 months and use something like Faded you have to wear a sunscreen with SPF 50+ or higher also wear a sun visor dr. ALEXIS Stephens have a video about it ..

OMG!!!!!! In my old age and with the increase in my allergies, I began to rub my eyes so much more. Annnnndd, I began to get dark circles. I'm managing my allergies through some antihistamines and intermittent fasting, which lowered my body's inflammation. Your recommendations are pure gold! Love this channel.

I think my dark circles should have been an indicator that something was going on with my eyes. My allergies have gotten so wretched the last few years and I've been rubbing them so viciously that I might have triggered my keratoconus. Now I just look like a racoon.

I’m only 27 and mine is anatomical factors.. I got under eye filler done which has helped to an extent but it’s definitely still dark circles. It’s inherited also as my dad has dark circles but when I stretch the skin under my eye it definitely goes lighter so I don’t know what to use 🤷🏽‍♀️

Salaam Dr. Hani! Welcome back. I've had dark under eye circles at least since middle school. However, I had dreadful allergies (dust, pollen, grass etc) and I'd rub my eyes savagely until they swell. Could that have been a contributor? Nowadays, I notice when I sleep well for a number of days, my dark circles under my eyes are *significantly reduced (though not completely gone).

Hi Dr. Hani! Love and appreciate your content. I am personally interested in good sunscreens for black, especially dark skinned women🥺… I think one thing that discourages us from wearing sunscreen is how a good majority of them look on us? And we have to pay a premium for ones that don’t look blue/purple. I bought black girl sunscreen but heard another derm say it’s comedogenic and horrible for people like me who are acne prone - so now I’m at my wits end.😭😅
