wave 3 paired with nvidia broadcast is so good. i also love the mixer concept. now all my audio on stream is one channel in obs, but i can control it so much easier, and i especially love that it allows me to listen to music without it playing on stream cuz yknow... DMCA

I would like to know how it is the Wave 3 sound out of the box because I just bought it and even with gain at minimum it captures a lot of background noise and even the clicking of the mouse is super loud. The only way is relying on OBS filters but I would like to remove background noise from my monitor channel in wawelink as well. Is it possible?

You need a noise gate and suppression in your recording software. This kills the background noise for the most part.

@@djdepressionso I’ve done this but, I still hear mouse drag and clicks. Nvidia noise removal doesn’t seem to work well and my noise gate is set at -45 which doesn’t let anything pass until I speak, than it’s clicks and mouse drag :/

Need help, i can't seem to use my wireless steelseries siberia 840 with wavelink, the sound just won't come out from my wireless speaker, I tried using an external speaker and using a wired headset (kingston) and it works fine.

What about a slight static noise? I have the Blue Yeti and even with no bg noise there's usually always that something you can hear after I'm done making a sound. Then a second or 2 after it goes silent ( With no noise/bg noise ). Does the Wave 1/3 have this issue as well? I assume/assumed all USB Mics have this issue.

Nvidia Broadcast is a Windows only application/requires RTX cards to power them. For Mac Wave Link supports Audio Unit plugins so you may be able to find a comparable AU to help with noise cancelling.

It's not really that hard to use it just dont follow at all the tutorials and just wing it, i have all my audio seperate via the vac from elgato, since all of video's saying use the streammix for all you audio blablabla but then you cant record at the same time without the music, voice and all the other shit you dont want in your recordings

I LOVE ELGATO products and am a new customer, who has kind of gone all in from Stream Deck, to now the mic 3, ad I am not a streamer, just using it to do educational training videos using Camtasia for doctors. My question is: Should I set the output to just the ELGATO mic 3, or the stream output. I don’t even use or have installed any streaming software, so it would seem to use only the mic as the output, put if I do it that way, I may not get the benefit of the Wavelink software?

Thank you for the video. I am thinking to get Wave 3. I am not a streamer, I will use it for Zoom meetings and also (for better sound) in video recordings. Sometimes I need to stand up and explain things on a board. If Wave 3 sits on the table (1.5 - 2 meters far from me) will my sound be audible well to Zoom participants?

Short answer is yes. You could turn the gain up when walking away or set up the mic at an equal distance so you don't have to play with the gain. If this would be in a noisy environment the video's recommendation of using RTX Voice or other software like Krisp is a great suggestion. Long answer, From my research and testing, condenser mics like the Wave 3 are more sensitive than dynamic mics. Which basically means 2 things, they require less gain to pick up your voice, aiding your use case, but like the video explained this also means it's more prone to pick up background noise. If you ask me, a wireless Lapel microphone sounds more suitable to your use case. Man am I late, but if someone else had this question I hope this was of help.

Having an issue with hearing everything twice, was adding wavelinks to apps such as apple music, discord voice chat, game audio, and my voice. Both my stream and myself could hear everything twice, not like an echo but like a playback a half a second later. If someone could please address a fix for this that would be great.

Not a pro, but could it be you had two audio signals on loud? Destop Audio and another output? You might want to play around with that. We had a similar issue once and we just had to remove one of the audio outputs :D
