Something must have glitched for me because I was able to get all three pieces without fighting the crew. I did smash the jar because I had no idea that was related to it. I also got some funny text saying the skeleton arm in my inventory flipped me the bird before going still.

Fought like 4 times to realise he doesn't die and just becomes unconscious with 0 hp on the floor while his summoned crew is more dangerous (playing with a party of 2 lv8 each)

whats the difference between breaking the Jar and just giving it to them and why is breaking the Jar considered bad, I broke the Jar of the 3 necro guards at the chamber thing

you can do anything with the 3 necro guards, but for the captain, I broke it on the beach so he was found dead when I open the chest (got his jacket tho), which might prevent me from seeing him in full set as in the later in the video
