Great video! Now it makes sense why I always felt slower on the track when training sprints compared to actually playing basketball and running up and down the court in transition.

So for me a Ball hockey Defenseman. The hip flip is incredibly important. Similar to a DB in football. So to improve my speed at that I would want to do a weighted hip flip? Weight vest? Or holding a plate? Should I keep my stick in my hands as well?

Hey guys, The last 2 springs (lacrosse player) I feel like I have somehow been getting slower. All of this is spite of training consistently and paying attention to an offseason and recovery. I'm honestly not sure I I'm getting slower or everyone else is getting faster (I'm in 8th grade). Do you have any tips?

you’re probably not getting slower it just feels like it because you aren’t progressing that much. try watch your diet and go for sprints and hill sprints or train lower body at a gym.

let me be a cautionary tale, just cause you are a fast sprinter and runner, it doesn't necessarily all transfer to your sport. i got really fast one summer but i didnt practice enough plyometric work for tennis. a lot of wasted effort for not the right kind of speed.
