This video was concise, but so informative, good job buddy. Brokerages found me instead, lol. I use to work for the body shop Canada 🇨🇦as a customer consultant for 4 yrs. I would have these business ppl come up to me and gave me their cards, saying I need to get into real estate. I would decline. I have no knowledge or experience in real estate and they would hand me their business cards saying they would teach you everything I need to know and learn about the business. But just get certified and qualified first. Lol I was so good at selling and just an overall people person. Now I am actually considering it. 😂

Oh yea. It's different all over sure. The one here in Ontario, Canada is that you HAVE 2 years to complete it. But it can be done much quicker. I was able to get it in 4.5mths. I have a video on that as well. 👍

I think so. I guess it would all come down to time management. Only tough part that maybe you could face is that you will have to be reactive to your clients, so sometimes that tricky with other obligations. But for sure, can do!

Great video! It was vey informative, light hearted, and organized. I have worked in the hotel industry for about ten years so I have strong customer service skills. I have also just finished my Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management. I love meeting new people finding out what their passions and needs are and providing services to cater to their needs. It has always been a very rewarding feeling for me and is why I've worked in the hospitality industry. I am a good listener, confident, empathic, and detail orientated. I do get a bit nervous sometimes giving big presentations to lots of people but always seem to excel with small groups and with one-on-one meetings. Given the current economic climate for the hospitality industry due to Covid I am thinking about a career change into real estate. I was wondering if the skills and personality I have seems like a good fit for this industry. Also curious as to what inspired you to get into this industry. Also is there entry level positions that I could apply for without having my real estate licence at agencies that I could do while completing the course work so that I can network while completing my schooling?

Awesome video, I gotta few questions, So to be clear in Ontario you need to be registered by a brokerage firm before you can even practice real estate along with your Rico license. When you apply to a brokerage what if you dont have professional selling experience what can you do to get hired by that brokerage? I want to get my real estate to essentially be a free agent and do my own thing can you do that without a brokerage.

Hey thx! Yes because of the regulation you will need to be hired by a brokerage. With the brokerage of your choice together you will fill out the RECO application. If you’ve completed our real estate program here in Ontario, most brokerages will be lucky to have you. You to a certain extent, are doing the interviewing. You can open your own brokerage after 2 years where you will be able to write for your brokers licence.

Thanks for the video! For step #2 (getting an education), is there any flexibility? So, you mentioned Humber college has a course, but am I able to say, self-study and jump directly to an exam? Similar to standardized tests like the LSAT, GMAT, etc.

I think I know what you mean but unfortunately no. Humber College will make you pay for all of the courses even if you have already done your own research and have the knowledge.

I have a question, do we need to know which brokerage we will be joining before completing all the courses or do have another year after we finish our courses to choose our brokerage? I heard that in order to complete course 5 we need to include the brokerage.
