The day before pitch model conference in my college, I watched this video and then I created my powerpoint slides. I actually worked, I got appreciation. So, keep in mind that "Simplicity, Clarity and Focus"... This video is so helpful. You can invest your time to watch this video.

Great content. Interesting to read some of the negative feedback and how amicably David replied regardless. Despite the points in the video, some focused on irrelevant aspects of the talk. Worse still, some failed to differentiate between pitching and presenting for other purpose; as in this instance. He's given 30 minutes to provide some coaching for us who need to pitch; he wasn't pitching to that audience. If anything it was a convincing marketing pitch for his service. I'll definitely incorporate his suggestions into my next pitch preparation. Thank you David.

Very good information and presentation. I do have to agree with another commenter, the sound quality was so bad I almost didn't make it to the end. I think it was worsened because I had to listen with headphones, but it's worth sticking it out and watching the video.

Elevator Pitch: The art of making a quick sales pitch to someone who is on an elevator with you. For true sales pros, the elevator pitch is much shorter, as when you are pitching the value of your worthless life to God as you are falling down an elevator shaft. from Dr. Mezmer’s Dictionary of Bad Psychology, at doctormezmer.com

what field of sales are you in? I'm new to the sales profession and a bit frightened of saying the wrong thing and fumbling the whole process. I'm not scared of rejection but dealing with high ticket sales is what scares me. I own a small business where I deal with B2B and B2C but on a small scale of no more than $200 deals and I LOVE to pitch to people but when it comes to the thought of pitching a $10k deal it makes my stomach hurt. How did you get over that feeling if you ever came across it?

Speakers who wear black t-shirts for a presentation are trying too hard to "look cool". Lacks credibility. and is disrespectful to audience. Some say it is the message but if someone was wearing their pajamas you would dismiss them. Appearance is important. Not everyone is Steve Jobs.
