Thanks for this. It helps. I am better at breast stroke than crawl. Done 7 triathlons breaststroke. Swam open water today. The gliding is key to moving through the water faster and with less energy used. This video's useful

I'm loving your channel! I recently got back into swimming after years away and I was ever able to swim and breathe. But your videos have meant that in just three sessions I have gone from swimmingike a turtle with my head above the water to actually breathing properly. Last night I swam my whole 1km with an extended glide and it felt soooo good!

As far as we go on breaststroke we need to synchronize the hand shake and leg flutter. By default the first step is leg drill

Yes, if you pull your arms and elbows past your spine, your body will collapse essentially losing your glide. Hope this helps clarify! -Coach Mandy
