Omg thank you so much. I recently started meditating and just yesterday I arrived at "looking at nothing" and for a brief minute at " awareness of the awareness". But I got interrupted by some item falling in the room and I couldn't get back to where I was at. All I knew was, how peaceful I felt and how I didn't have a sense of time. My meditation was an hour and 10 mins but it felt like 20 mins. Throughout the day, my perspective of the world changed, and the way I saw my body and mind also changed. I found it easy to realize that awareness is the background. This morning I was too excited to meditate and I think the desire to get to that moment ruined my meditation. I couldn't even focus and also I couldn't remember what I did to get to that place. I can't thank you enough for describing the stages. I was in fear of not experiencing what I experienced yesterday. But when the student is ready, the teacher appears. I appreciate you :)

My goodness, Sunny, I have never ever heard it be described so poignantly! As far as I am aware, this kind of shift from watching awareness (as still object-focused) to melting into Self-abidance (dwelling) has never been expressed more elegantly. You are simply amazing. Thank you so very much!

Something I found to be helpful is to imagine every thought, feeling, sound and general stimulus is on a white piece of paper. I am just observing it all without investing in it. If you feel yourself getting wrapped up in a thought or sound, just place it on the paper. You are the observer behind the paper with no intention, feeling or purpose. Another thing that has been quite interesting is to imagine my ultimate self (that's what I call it) as a ball of orange energy. The ball of energy is covered in pieces of cloth that are spiraling around it. Everyone's cloth spirals in different ways and this forms the base of their personality, mood and perception. In meditation, I try to peel away these layers of cloth so I'm just left with the pure orange energy. I actually had a crazy experience walking in a busy underground. I did half an hour of prior meditation sitting down on the metro, I departed and entered a sea of people, but continued to meditate. When I unraveled the layers of cloth, for a split second, I was somewhere else...... Almost as if I saw things as they really are. On a random tangent..... I have recently been experiencing a lot of coincidences in my life (take that as you may). I like to do walking meditation or standing and waiting for my bus while in meditation. One day, I opened my eyes and saw right infront of me in writing on a sign "Don't rush". This has been the best thing for my practice, now every time I feel frustrated or am trying to steer the experience I just say to myself "don't rush", calm down and let it be. Don't set any expectations, just go in, do it and don't rush!

This excellent short video helped me realize that self inquiry is not only the most direct path but also one that a person is likely to arrive at through a natural maturing of their practice. Thank you.

So great to have a structured approach and purpose of each phase of meditation explained so succintly. I have been looking for such guidance to help me follow a path and this has provided it. Thank you. My interpretation of the phases of mediation: 1. Awareness of sporadic thoughts - lots of objects 2. Awareness of one object eg gap between thoughts/lack of thought which is still an object 3. Awareness of awareness which is not an object - identification starts to drop away and you start being. Awareness is the background of everything.

Sunny , I am doing the no mind meditation for about two years, Everything in my life going faster and faster. But there are some sector where I am not doing okay, specially in my studies. I have been a addicted to the no mind. All my day gone in this tendency. How Can I make a balance between everything? It feels like everything is going out of my hand. I know nothing is in my hand but everything is now unknown. How I face this unknown WORLD?

Hi sunny, I am finding it hard to understand what you are saying because I know that my life is just a dream character playing out but I have become self aware that this character all my life is not me and don’t match how I’m thinking and feeling now!!! I was intentionally set up for a crime I didn’t commit and have a criminal record that’s preventing me doing anything. It don’t make me feel bad or negative I am fine sleeping all the time it’s just how am I meant to be a new character with those issues? It’s silly because I can’t relate to anything that’s going on in my reality because it’s not real or who I am anymore. I have no control over my body or mind yet there is something underneath it all that seems like me. My reality seems like a game that does the opposite of anything i do. Seems like a silly psychological mind game that constantly wants me in a negative state or a reaction. Using people as opponents against me. My external world has always wanted me to not achieve anything and this being that’s not good but it’s a load of lies because I am good, intelligent and feel a lot of positive characteristics. It’s like I’m playing against a computer simulation system and that being the whole universe.

Hey, Sunny. I have been attending satsung via video with Mooji and it is nice to have your explanations clarify his. I came to you through law of attraction/allowance and those teachers. I see you are discussing those thing less and less. Are they still relevant for you? Is law of attraction a functioning of the mind?
