Always cut your 45 seat cut 1ST, then set valve diameter with the 30*, and final 60* bottom cut sets your seat width. The way to do it.

Sioux valve grinding tooling is what your talking about you can purchase them on ebay but are quite expensive to get a complete set each arbor is a certain size for the valve guide the grinding motor and the stone cutter are needed to. accurately cut the seats I just purchased a complete valve grinder and the seat grinder set off craigs list for 400 bucks and that was a screaming deal as the valve grinder is usually 750 to 1500 used depending on condition and age.

Why not just cut your 30 and 60 first, then set your 45 last?

Adam Alsnayyan because your 45 doesn’t move once it is set. That’s your contact area with the valve. It’s easier to work the 30 and the 60 once the 45 is set. Try both for yourself and see the difference.

We usually start from the bottom and work our way up. Cut the 60 first to center the seat, then cut the 45 and finish with the 30 so you can control the finished width of the 45. I've seen it done this way as well. Nice video. Very informative. Extremely thorough.
