Great video! Thanks! I've dabbled in sprouting a little in the past but I'm pretty serious about making these a regular part of my diet now. Your video and tips should help me mass produce better. I've been trying to produce 5-6 jars at a time, with staggered start times and trying to keep a steady supply in my diet.

I prefer in a jar as it's more compact to work around. 💕

I noticed you using the vinegar to sanitize the alfallfa seeds, thought this to be great information! I am relatively new to sprouting different seeds and beans. Would you do the vinegar rinse when sprouting other seeds and beans, such as mung and chick peas? Thank you 😊
@kathynix6552 Жыл бұрын
Some seeds are more mucilaginous when exposed to moisture and those are the ones that I would sterilise. I don’t think either mung bean or chick peas warrant that extra step.
@mimicry90 Жыл бұрын
vinegar and natron in combination do the trick. you can do this to most veggies aswell to reduce the levels of contamination inside and outside of them. soak for 10-20min.

Thank you for sharing, you make it very simple and easy way with your sprout. I been watched alot of video and your way is the best one. I will try it today with the jar and tray. Wish me luck!!!

Hello! I love your video, but I had a question. In the tray, do you continue to rinse the seeds the whole time? Or do you just wet them twice a day after they get a certain size?

That was an interesting comparison, I think they looked fantastic in the jar but easier just to spray on the tray, They looked bigger in the jar, do you think you yield the same amount of Alfalfa sprouts in either method of growing? excellent video Marie

I make open-face alfalfa sprouts sandwiches on seeded rye bread with Kewpie mayo, sometimes with sliced or mashed avocado. Any time of day. Perhaps a light sprinkle of Maldon salt flakes. The sandwich can be folded over and dipped into a poached egg or even into Turkish Çilbir! If I'm making a sandwich, I usually include these sprouts, e.g., hoagie/sub, Jersey tomato sandwich, BLT, avocado toast, Croque M. or Mme., egg or tuna salad, Pan Bagnat, even Jambon-Beurre! I would eat them on a pissaladière. I would eat them in a boat, I would eat them with a goat; I would eat them with Green Eggs and Ham! (Yes I would, Sam I Am!) I bet they're great in a pita with falafel, veggies, and tzatziki, or with shrimp salad and a parsley root/celery root cole slaw and a thin coriander/mint sauce swirled into thick Greek yoghurt. They would enhance any cheese or deli sandwich, etc, etc. I can't thank you enough for this recipe for alfalfa sprouts! They are so versatile, delicious, and beneficial, yet so difficult to find at local stores ❤❤❤❤❤😊
