Hollis and Nancy, KZbin unsubscribed me to your channel!!!! Why, I don’t know. I suddenly realized I hadn’t gotten anything from you. So, I looked and I was unsubscribed!! But, I’m back now. I love you two, and enjoy your channel sooo much!! ♥️🙏🏼♥️

Welcome back. Yes, KZbin has unsubscribed literally tens of thousands of our subscribers without their permission. In fact, folks such as yourself discovers you were unsubscribed and subscribed again only to find a couple of weeks later they did it again. One man told us he has been unsubscribed four times!!! They also deactivated many folks notification bell. We have also learned that if our subscribers don’t watch any of our videos for 3-4 weeks, they will stop showing any of our videos on your feed. Many folks thought we quit making videos entirely. It is very discouraging for us but we keep trying to keep our channel alive.

Hey Hollis and Nancy! We live in zone 9B just a little more south than ya'll. I absolutely LOVE your videos. Our garden last year was a huge success. I was told by several people that it was impossible to grow in Florida without using pesticides. That is sort of true. I used a home brew of Jalapenos, garlic, and some dish soap. That was great for keeping the bugs away. I want to thank you both for all the videos that you create and I attribute my gardening success DIRECTLY to YOU! Thanks!

@donblaylock73612 жыл бұрын
@@lisawilson9816 In a blender add 3-4 jalapenos, 3-4 cloves of garlic peeled.. Blend in a cup or two of water until it's very well blended. I use a Vitamix which is a pretty powerful blender and I let it run for a couple minutes on high. Pour that mixture in a 1 or 2 gl sprayer using a nut milk bag to filter the solids, add the dish soap. These measurements are not critical. Fill the sprayer to the top with water. Shake well. Pump it up and spray liberally. It doesn't affect ants but I've watched many other bugs curl up and die or skedaddle. Do this once per week and make sure you spray from underneath the tomato leaves. Also, wear a respirator or at the very least, a medical mask and try not to get this stuff in your nose, mouth or eyes. You'll pay for it if you do. 🙂

I'm so glad to see someone else using straight fish as fertilizer! We have a huge natural pond in our front yard, so I get fish from it and bury in the garden. You're right - within weeks, even the big ones are decomposed down and the soil looks like coal, it's so black and rich. I do find scales for some time to come and I always wonder "why is there glitter in my garden?" Haha!

Don't know if it has been suggested, but I grow with containers in the Midwest. I rotate them in 3's and keep about 9 plants growing at a time. When they outgrow the pots I give the tree away or plant it somewhere I am allowed to plant. Hollis and Nancy, love your honest to goodness style, showing us how challenges do come for gardeners! So surprised to see you pop up another standby tray ready to go! Yeah, Plan B. Here in west coast, we term these as snow pea - yes they don't like the oppressive heat at right. A great blessing recaaling our granddaughter did better than us spotting the pea pods and make them disappear in her mouth :) Much blessings to you two loving couple +

Hi Holis and Nancy how are you? This is my first year gardening and I live in zone 8a and I have question do you have to harden all of the plants off in the Summer months also or is this something you all only do in the winter months? Thank you and God bless you all for all that you do.

Beautiful video. I love how you take us from start to harvest and I am always amazed by what people can grow in the various zones at the same time as myself. Nature is such an amazing thing. We'll be planting our sugar snaps in a couple month's here and I can't wait. Definitely a favorite. Thank you for the fish information. I know what we will do this summer lol.

Nice video, thank you for all great advice. I would love to see an experiment where you plant some transplants with fish and some with out. It would be cool to see the difference. I wonder if you get more harvest or quicker or both.

That's a good idea, Lynn. At least on a small scale to see the difference.
