I’m glad you mention they don’t need as much watering as the other hydrangeas. Would love to see this in full size. I understand oak leaves can get quite big.

Asking for a video on handling older oakleaf hydrangea. I have one that's just top heavy and another that is so happy it keeps outgrowing its site, so I need to do some rejuvenating pruning. I can see the form best in January or February once the leaves drop ... here that's late December, early January. Thanks!

I just bought the Snow Queen, it looks like a stick with two leaves on it right now lol... Of course it is early May right now. I plan on planting it in morning sun and evening shade. My question is, will it grow enough to have any flowers on it this summer since it is a slow grower? Everyone is talking about zones I have no clue what zone I'm in but I will say I'm in Tennessee... Can you please tell me what I can expect out of my plant? Please! Thank you for the video you were very informative but as you can see I still have a few questions .. Have a nice day n God bless! 🏵️🌸🙂🌼🏵️

It may not bloom transplanting it in the spring. No big deal. It will be great next year. You can look up your zone with your ZIP code.

SAME! I bought several this year from Tractor supply. Six bucks, couldn’t beat it. They were coming out of dormancy early and I thought they needed planted right away so planted them early, then they got rekt by frigid temps...a couple of times. They stayed alive though, and now are back to being sticks with two leaves 😁. Hopefully that’s all over and we will finally start seeing some evidence that they are actually shrubs. 😊

I just watched several videos and they say deer will be attracted to the flower scent and eat all the buds and flowers. One young plant was eaten to the ground. "I just put up my deer fence, so I'm planting oakleaf hydrangeas." So which is it? I need to know because we are visited by deer occasionally and I got rid of my hostas because they kept eating them.

Hmmmmm, I just planted a Ruby Slippers Oakleaf Hydrangea is a shady area. It gets approximately 3 hours maximum of direct sunlight each day. We'll see if it's enough sunlight to get some good coloration.

What is the latest with your Ruby Slippers? I just planted two. Mine will be getting a good deal more sun, so I'm a little concerned whether it'll be too much sun.
