The drugalyser seen in this video does not collect DNA, nor is the device capable of reading and storing DNA. Even if it did, the police do not have the authority to collect random DNA samples at the roadside and retain them. To do so would be a breach of data protection. If you are drugalysed at the roadside then you would be entitled to a copy of any of the data recorded via a subject access request to the relevant force.

@Roger Allison "Why shouldn't they give as good as they get when faced with a time wasting smart-arse?" The same reason the Queen's guards don't fool around when tempted to break composure. They have an important job to do. They are trained and paid to behave like professionals. Really, any job where you act as immature, unruly or offensive as others makes you and your department/company look bad.
@imjustadog18974 жыл бұрын
@Roger Allison No it's not reasonable. The cop comes in and out of his personal space while he's recording. Why? Why does he need to imitate what he sees and experiences? If his body cam is recording, why is it necessary to put the camera in the guy's face, and bicker like a child? Someone needs to act like an adult and act professional especially since one person is being paid to act like a cop. If this was any other type of employee, they would be questioned and disciplined, but double standards for cops is a different story. The point is, the cop is better than this and showing how low he can go tells too much about his character. Yes people should act a certain way too, but some freedoms are granted to them when they're not working. The guy should get his information ran, get his ticket and be on his way. If he's inebriated or under the influence, offer a test, book him if he's aggressive or unruly, tow the car, be ready for the next offender.
@GBOB684 жыл бұрын
@Roger Allison When you say he pointed a camera at someone who was pointing one at him. You should think about that for a minute. I'll give you a clue as to what I'm getting at. Who was the first one to start filming the situation? What's good for the goose and all that. You obviously can't get your head round the fact the driver of the car is just a random person whilst the policeman is a trained professional and should behave as such. Think about this before coming back to comment.

@Roger Allison bullshit stories? Didn't take me long to verify that story... You my friend are a schmuck. Fucking joke of a system, and you're kissing it's arse lmao
@rookievideos88654 жыл бұрын
@Roger Allison 1. The officers had no evidence of speeding, they merely asserted it, which is questionable 2. The police officer was impolite from the get go, which is unprofessional behavior 3. The "smartass" you're talking about was quite polite and well within his rights to query the officer 4. It's very unprofessional of the officer to possibly escalate the situation through his petty "mirror game" rather than trying to gain trust through polite interaction, which would be very well possible given the calm and polite behavior of the detainee 5. If professional conduct can go out the window as soon as someone is deemed a "smartass" then that professionalism is nothing but a thin worthless veneer, because letting an ad hominem fallacy inform your behavior is in itself antithetical to professionalism. Lastly, an observation: you trust police officers to determine and solve societal problems without them having to provide evidence. It comes across as mildly ironic to me that you see the people who question authority as the ones that used to come whining to the teacher trusting an authority figure to solve their problems for them, when it's you right here in this thread that exhibits a child like trust in authority figures to do just that.
