@STRIQfit4 ай бұрын
You're so welcome! 🔥💪🏾 overcome the fear by exposing yourself to it more. Facing the wall I’m guessing you’re meaning chest to wall. Start by walking your feet up the wall and cartwheeling out of it. The more you expose yourself to being upside down, the less your body will react and the less scared you will be overtime

Wonderful breakdown. Do you consider "rolling" off a handstand a good way to dismount? I'm still afraid of balancing that bit on one hand
@STRIQfit3 ай бұрын
It could be useful but I never give it as an option to anyone because you can easily mess it up and injure yourself. If you wanted to roll out of one make sure you are in a safe environment. Tuck your chin towards your chest and lower yourself gently into the roll. It takes a certain amount of strength that many beginners just don't have.

Thank you so much for this very informative video! I have a question: Do you think it’s safe to work on handstands if I have a prior shoulder injury? I subluxated my shoulder last year and I still have troubles, even though I went to kinotherapy and I work on strengthening my rotator cuff. I am very scared to do a handstand or any other calisthenics exercice that engages shoulders… Would appreciate your advice, thank you in advance!

Been training calisthenics this summer since I don’t have access to my normal gym and I’m to the point where I’m practicing flipping up to a handstand on a wall and when I bring my feet off the wall I can usually only hold it for a couple seconds before I always fall back the direction I flipped up. Maybe it’s because I’m scared to push too much with my palms to right my self but if anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi i just wanted to say that i foundyour videos mire helpful then chris herias btw i am not sayin that chris does no make good videos but your are more helpful and lastly i wanted to ask that i can do like 7 perfect pushups (hand placement as wide as shoulders, chest to the ground, waiting a sec on the bottom and coming up fast) after doing pushups for more than a year and half i was able to do around 30,40 with bad form around a year ago but form is the king so basically how to make 7 a hundred and I just wanted to give details that i can do 2 archer with my dominant arm, can do a one arm till at bottom with dominant hand, can do pike only one , pistol squat one with dominant ,4 or 5 chinups and one good pullup So how to increase the reps of pushups
@CHANNELA-jv2tz4 ай бұрын
Man it was better to think and write something on fiverr than this at least i get money for that but if i get lucky and you reply i will be able to do more pushups so its good
@STRIQfit4 ай бұрын
First off thank you for the comment and the support family 🔥💪🏾 You can increase your push-up reps a number of ways 1. Adding weight or resistance to the pushup, like weighted pushups or banded 2. Slowing down the tempo (slow eccentric pushups) 3. Increasing the range of motion (deficit pushups) 4. Different variations that work the muscles used (Tricep extension, pike, pseudo) It’ll take time but you’ll definitely see some growth.

I can do the frog stand and head stand for about 20 seconds, but when doing them I dont place on the floor the inside of the knuckles, because actually I can push stronger without it. I think that has triggered the current wrist pain I have in my hand. Any advice on how I could put the hands as shown in the video, because that does not feel naturally to me?
@STRIQfit4 ай бұрын
In the frog stand and most bent arm positions the weight in your hands will transfer to the outside of your fingers like your pinkies and ring fingers. Pushing through those or using that to stay balanced is key.
@pedroperico17324 ай бұрын
@@STRIQfitThanks for the reply. Then, is not necessary to place while pushing up the inside of the knuckles?

Is it more important for a person to have shoulder mobility so they have a straight alignment before attempting to train the handstand on the wall versus training the handstand on the wall with a banana back?
@STRIQfit4 ай бұрын
Everyone will have a bit of a banana back when starting. It just can’t be helped. Like I said, picture it as you basically learning to walk again. So overtime you’ll develop a straighter posture. Work on your shoulder mobility whilst also training on the wall. It would help even further if you could capture a video to notice errors in comparison to practitioners. As well as checking how your form develops overtime. 🔥💪🏾

If I'm new to calisthenics but already fairly strong can I skip to wall assisted handstand holds or should I still do pike holds and headstands to begin with?
@STRIQfit4 ай бұрын
If you’re comfortable doing wall holds and you’ve recorded yourself and you can confirm your form then you’re definitely good to go on skipping to there. You definitely still want to do headstands no matter what level you’re at. Especially if you’ve never done them before. They can be surprisingly challenging.

Whenever I do a pike push up my core/quads compress and bring my legs closer when I push back up. How do I stop that from happening? Am I doing something wrong / lacking in strength or flexibility in a particular area?
@STRIQfit4 ай бұрын
I understand. Sometimes it’s hard to keep control of the legs when doing a pike push-up. You just have to be aware. Just like with the handstand. If you all of a sudden forget to have tension on your legs then they’ll fall forward or back. It’s something that you have to get used to the more you practice it. I’d recommend using a wider pike so your legs are more planted in the ground. Steadily work up to a close pike but never forget to keep your toes or top of your feet planted into the ground.
