How To Heater Core Bypass (1993 Toyota MR2 pt2)

Today I finish bypassing the heater core on the 1993 Toyota MR2 SW20. Last time we removed the dash and deleted the heater core. This time we re install the instruments and burp the coolant. Bleeding the coolant on the MR2 is slightly more complicated because it is mid engine.

Part one of the heater core delete showed how to re route the heater hoses for the heater core bypass.

Who knew how complex and interesting all the things behind the dash could be! Years ago I deleted the heater core in my Taurus because tearing out the entire dash to replace it was just too ridiculous and it wasn’t that important to me. Mine had a pinhole in it. Why did you delete yours?

Taking out the entire dash really is a huge job. Unfortunately this car had a horrible rat infestation. They literally nested inside of the heater blower and all the vents. Really disgusting stuff lol.
