I was really happy to see another video of yours show up. Of course I would have liked square content but an MR2 is pretty awesome as well. sarah-n-tuned's build got me to like them as I didn't really love them when I was younger. Good luck with your new addition!

Absolutely loved this one. Your enthusiasm is on a whole other level dude. The car was a literal rats nest but that didn’t stop you from gutting and cleaning the fuck out of the car haha, huge respect 👍🏼 The SW20 MR2 is also my favorite gen and you got a true JDM classic in your hands now. Can’t wait to see it in person sometime soon, keep up the amazing work bro :)

one other thing--- how did you bleed your coolant? after the car warms up-- bubbles in the coolant are a pita--- i used a vacuum purge valve to make sure it was good.

Cool good to know. I use a Lisle funnel on my subie. Next video should have the coolant burping

What are the problems with the heater core? Just bought a 91 turbo, is this negatively effecting the car at all? And what are the benefits?
@DreamWrench
@DreamWrench 2 жыл бұрын
This heater core had a rats nest inside of it. I didn't remove it for weight reduction or any other reason.

Like someone else said the electrical box next to the ECU is the Air Bag sensor. Make sure you disconnect the battery for 1 minute before fooling with it. I case you didn't know they have the windshield out when they stand up through the opening and install the dash at the FACTORY WHEN THEY BUILD CARS. sometimes easier to remove windshield when pulling dash.
@DreamWrench
@DreamWrench 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Good advice! Thankfully I did have the battery disconnected while messing with the electronics. Windshield out would have made this easier

the dash must be removed to remove the heater core?

Yes, that was the only way to get to it. It's really buried in there.

@@DreamWrench it possible to clean it without taking off the dash?
@DreamWrench

It would be very difficult to access the inside of the heater core to remove debris without removing the dash.

Rats are about as bad as rust. They eat wires, seats, and destroy the car essentially. That's the main issue with having a sitter in say, a barn, or under an outside carport. Too many critters seek refuge in these cars, just like people do.

@DreamWrench 3 жыл бұрын
It's bad. Ive been waiting to find chewed up harness but so far its just been a bunch of rats nest and mess. Car was running and driving when I bought it at least.

@@DreamWrench , good luck buddy, you are doing now what I worried about happening. Luckily I have a weird squirrel situation where they only hand out in the attic area of my old garage. It's so bad I just let them have it up there, been there since I moved in as a renter. Its more like actual share of the garage but I set traps below and only catch rats, mice and and the occasional baby squirrel. Squirrels can do the same but these ones are smart and prefer to stay away from my 2 Twos.
