Simplified version 1. Plug power cable in like a charging your phone. 2. Plug a hdmi cable in your ps5, then into a tv or a monitor. 3. Plug your monitor/tv power supply in. 4. Turn on tv/monitor and go to your hdmi signal. 5. Plug in your controllers and press the play station logo and your ready to play. (Note you have to download stuff before you can use stuff.)

Mine in the video is not. You don’t need a a smart tv and as for chrome cast, the controller can be connected to it but not the PS5 as far as I know.

As far as I know you can plug it to any HDMI port as it's backwards compatible so even if your tv/monitor doesn't have an HDMI 2.1 port you can still connect it. If your HDMI port isn't 2.1 then you won't get optimal performance in situations where the 2.1 would be able to produce.

It will work and just plug the hdmi to the tv and PS5. Doesn’t matter which you turn on first. As for other cables that is your choice, it doesn’t have anything to do with the PS5

Don't worry about it. It's very simple with a small learning curve. Once it's connected it guides you along with on screen info. Just put in a game and get started, Google any questions or feel free to ask and I can help you out.

It fits in any HDMI port the tv I use here is a super old near 15--20 year old tv and works fine. You just limited to your tv and HDMI port capabilities. PS5 can play scaled down to 720p so although you can push 4K it's not a must.

As from what I understand yes. PS5 and XBox Series X come with an HDMI 2.1 cable but aren't required and you saw in this video that a near 15 year old or older TV works just fine. You just won't be able to take advantage of the higher frame rates and resolution that 2.1 ports are capable of.

The port is a standard HDMI port but I used the 2.1 cable. PS5 comes with the 2.1 cable so why use the 1.4? Not sure if it works but I assume it should. I'm still waiting for my PS5 games to test it out on my TV that has HDMI 2 but not sure yet. The monitor is a curved display by Samsung, I linked it in the top comment under the video.

Not really any specific. Depends on your price point. I like OLED or QLED in general but any 4K will be nice. Make sure if you want to stay somewhat future proof you find one that supports HDMI 2.1

Arc is audio return cable. It's supposed to give you one connection between your tv and your sound bar or receiver rather then having multiple cables. Only issue is a lot of TVs don't have this ability yet.

Not using this method. You can connect remotely. Have a look at my "how to connect ps5 to a computer video". iMacs don't have an HDMI in port so you can't use the cable like we did in this video.
