@Hpno4 жыл бұрын
@@Sebastian-eg5iu No, that would be illegal and I'm sure you wouldn't make it but a few miles before you would get stopped and unable to continue without a tow truck. I had to get insurance through my own company on the car I was buying before I even left the states. That way I was able to go to the Canadian DMV with my proof of insurance and get a temporary registration so I would be legal and covered the entire drive back home (which was over 1k miles for me). A few hours of your own time spent doing research, making a couple phone calls and putting in the footwork can save you thousands.

I imported an Autozam AZ-1 from Japan to Tennessee and I spent so much on the back end of the car (everything other than the car) I worried I dug a financial pit but I learned three things from this video. 1: it's definitely worth just getting a service to do everything for you. 2: every DMV agent is a roll of the dice and don't take their words for how to do something because another might accept your paperwork as is. 3: being able to drive that car with a smile on my face makes it all worth while. But I am CONSTANTLY anxious that something will go wrong and I won't know how to fix it

You could have cut corners in a lot of places like going through a united states importer, but this car is impossible to find in the U.S in that condition. If you guys go through a U.S based importer it should actually be pretty easy. It will still be relatively expensive but not over 12k extra bad. Also when I know I'm going somewhere that I can't get instant help for my car best believe I'm bringing extra everything.
