Some basics: - Smile - Maintain eyes contact about 80% of the time - Let them finish their sentences - Listen for the topics you can relate with and talk about it - Don’t criticize (except for close friends) - Giving lots of compliments (but don’t flatter, compliment on what is genuinely impressive to you) - Learn to crack jokes on the right time

for everyone who thinks they are boring, your not boring you’re just used to yourself. For example, I find my daily routine boring, doing school work, working out, writing for my book and drawing for my book. I’ve just listed 4 things that could spark a conversation. What you find boring could be someone else’s passion and that’s what you two have in common. When it’s your turn to talk no one said you have to keep everything hidden

If you ever find that special someone that you can talk to seemingly forever, it feels like bliss. With an ex of mine, it was a joke between us that we'd talk way too late and drag on dates far later than expected, but those never ending conversations are some of the best I've had. Getting someone who reciprocates the same conversational energy is RARE, but it does exist.

This is my personal opinion, everybody is gonna have awkward or dry conversations at sometimes. If either of you aren’t on the same page, not in the mood, or not really feeling it then they become awkward, but that doesn’t mean you make a big deal about it. Now if that keeps happening, then maybe it’s a problem, but if it happens occasionally then you come back the next day and you click then your good to go you got nothing to worry about. (Sorry for the long paragraph)

One thing that blew me away when talking to a guy I like…is when he remembered something I already told him. I’m so used to people never fully listening to what I’m saying. But a guy that actively listens to me and then engages with interest…it’s honestly such an attractive trait to have.

You gotta ask open ended questions, ones that arent just yes or no or option A or option B, you have to make better questions so they have to speak more about it, and if they still find ways to be dry and respond with short responses, say things like "that's so cool, can you tell me more about that?"

I think that what I love about this guy is that in an age of flashy editing and stimulation, I find utter peace and pleasure in listening to someone sit in front of a camera with no cuts inspiring and educating people. People generally cover up their content with too much editing and attention-fishing and the message behind the video is lost. It really shows how much quality information you have to give when you can compete with other creators putting hours of editing just with the sound of your voice.

THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love this video. sometimes we get so caught up with impressing someone or being 'perfect', that we forget to LISTEN to the person. once you shift your energy from focusing on yourself, and focus on the person and get to know them, conversation really gets easier. because you don't talk from a place of 'LIKE ME' but rather 'what can I learn about you?'. also good point about trying to be interesting in conversation- you should really go out and experience interesting things rather than try to come up with interesting questions or conversations lol. it really comes down to a shift in focus.

This was a great video. The last part was the most relatable to me because I have a best friend who is also my crush. We've known each other for eight years, since we were in the 5th grade. In the last part of the video, I felt a connection because I text her "What are you doing?" almost every day just to check up on her. The texts are mostly dry and the conversations lead nowhere, even though we once had a much deeper bond. We didn't speak for a few months, and now, unlike with most close friends where I can just start a conversation like we never stopped talking, it's different with her.

I remember when I was 5 it snowed in June, well not sure if it’s June, I don’t remember exactly when” “oh jeez, June? where was that?” then he went “tssssssss” like he didn’t remember and wasn’t gonna elaborate, so I went all “asking cud we live in higher elevations so it’s expected for winter to get here earlier, lower elevations meanwhile live in the summer” and so he was like “yeah, there’s snow on Mount Everest all year long” omg that was the driest conversation in the history of mankind. i was so boring bro, its cud i was done with the day i know, but this is a pretty recurring problem for me after I pulled out of school for ablittle bit and got social anxiety

I just came across your channel and vids after I saw a girl I liked at work, thanks for the heads up on things to do and not to do 🙏🏾, all I have to do is just get the courage to talk to her

I have had severe social anxiety and regular anxiety for a very long time now because of my past. I have been able to grow trough it and get more confident, however I get super awkward when it comes to a conversation. I just do not know what to say or what to ask. It may be a bit emberrasing to be watching a video like this, thinking it shouldn't be so difficult to just talk. But wathcing this has had me thinking, actually i wrote a lot of parts down, just so I can remember it when I need to. The statement "question, statement, conversation" is honestly life changing.

This video helped me a lot. Your examples make it so much easier to understand. It's funny that you said that the grocery store helped you conversate better because I also work at a grocery store and that's what made me realize that I need to work on my conversation skills lol. Don't get me wrong, I can talk until the cows come home but when I'm first getting to know someone, I just have an awkward flow because I think too much about what to say and how to say it. This definitely took some pressure off of me. Thank you again!
