In this video, I give you some useful tips on how to improve your English speaking fluency even if you don't have anyone to speak with.
This is one of the biggest problems that most English learners have as it's the only area of e English learning which requires another person... or does it?
I believe that you can improve your speaking fluency without necessarily needing to speak with anyone.
I hope you find this video useful... let me know in the comments!

Well, I speak in English when I'm alone, describing what I'm doing (cooking) at the moment I'm speaking and making connections (what I'm using / missing, how I did it before...). I also listen to music reading lyrics, changing time tenses in loud voice. Everything helps!

Ben, I totally agree with you we shouldn't look for poor excuses. I speak to my dog in English on a day-to-day basis and it really seems to understand me. I can also practice speaking English aloud when I commute to work on tram - wearing a mask can be so advantageous! And finally once a week I have a chat with my British teacher on Italki so I'm highly motivated to learn new vocabulary and phrases to express myself better.

I have been using that technique what you recommended about repeating. It works . Also I retell what what I have read, like a book or just a short article. My favorite is to watch Teded videos and retell them. They are short up to 7-10 min and have captions which is very useful to develop your vocabulary as well. Thanks for the video and for a list of recommended books in advance 😉

It's probably going to sound peculiar, but watching KZbin and TikTok videos (your are one of the best), helped me improve my speaking tremendously. I don't know why or how but listening to native English speakers talking allowed me to absorb the phonetics and vocabulary better, especially since I begun repeating exactly what I've been listening to my self even if this was a skincare routine or a gardening video. Greek is an extremely challenging language and despite the fact many impressive words originate from Greek which is quite useful when I prefer to use a more advanced vocabulary, I really struggled in surpassing the typical "Zorba accent" as I call it. 😁 I then proceeded in more complicated discussions like Ted Talks or self improvement podcasts, science, psychology etc and boy, I'm amazed from how far that went in less than a year in my accent, vocabulary, terminology, expressions and proverbs. WordReference has also been an excellent tool in translating and saving unknown words, and Twitter also has some amazing English learning accounts. Hope that helped. ❤️

Hello, Your ideas to practise speaking are very useful and efficient. I also recommend telling fairy tales. The more ridiculous and absurd they are the more fun You can find doing it. And - what's more - it's better to repeat and remember vocabulary telling crazy tales :) Best regards!

I' m a Little bit afraid to find someone to speak with in internet. If I don't know, it's Dangerous, isn't It? If She or he isn't a native English and has my same level, how could we improve our English? The risk Is that we both wrong but nobody knows
@tothepointenglishwithben.
@tothepointenglishwithben. 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is a risk. But globally most communication in English nowadays is between non-native speakers so it's all good practise and definitely better than nothing.
