Summary: 1. Make yourself a priority - take care of yourself 2. Create positive thoughts - stop, breathe, and think about what you're thinking 3. Say what you feel - try talking to a friend, or psychologist, or try writing it in a journal 4. Be compassionate to others - do things that will lift other's spirits and will make their day do watch the video if you have time! it's extremely adorable and helpful. some random things I want to share :> for the first tip, i've read somewhere to try treating tasks or activities for yourself like you're doing it for a very lovely client or a loved one you'd want to take care of, it might help if you're having a hard time doing things for yourself. take care! for the second tip, most of the time, this is what i do when i'm starting to think negatively about things. i talk to myself about something random i genuinely love or liked recently, like I saw a flower online earlier then I'd start talking internally to myself about how it looks like a thing and how i would love to see it. though, sometimes, it may not work, give it a try sometimes! it might work for you, too! for the third tip, you could try to just say it out loud(or even just like a whisper) whatever that is you're feeling, because personally, i think it helps me, and sometimes, it's also kind of funny. for example, i got shocked by the sudden lightning, i would just blurt out "that scared me", sort of thing. for the fourth tip, just be happy to help, you don't have to force it if you don't want to, but it certainly is heartwarming to know that you did something nice for someone, and the compassion being passed around to people :> have a great day!

@@unnieee427, hey, mate, i think it's good that you talked about it with your family. it's good to let someone know about what we feel, and to be honest, i also feel that way sometimes. life could be so boring sometimes because it's like... everything is the same and like nothing really changes especially in our lives, you know, like it's the same repetitive routine, but you know, there are just days that you don't find anything interesting and it just sucks, and it's okay to feel that way. sometimes, small little things could change how a whole day feels, and it makes it different from every other day, but sometimes, it's just a... day. nothing special today, this week, or this year, it's just there. also, it's good that you took a break from social media because it could just really be exhausting and toxic at times. i hope you'll have a great day or night ahead! the sunset or sunrise could look different today or tomorrow, but anyhow, i hope your life would be filled with color again! if it might help, you could try something different today to see how it goes!

Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety. For a better life sit on a chair, back straight, eyes closed and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight your thoughts. Slowly the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Day or night, when taking a walk, when reading, on the phone, before sleep etc sit or lie down and observe your breath. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a good life. Can never keep up with a journal and don’t drink enough water, everything else is pretty good though (except sleep due to the fact I just watch this video as soon as it came out (2:20 am lol)). Been more positive lately and things are going better, gonna try the voice journal, might be easier for me too.

Don't keep a journal then .. I'm just like you . I'm terrible at that. But a friend gave me the idea .. to get a mental journal. You only write when you feel like .. mainly when you feel overwhelmed.. write about it .. kinda feels like you're getting it off the chest .. off the mind ... try it .... I really hope it works for you the way it did for me. Rmr .. you don't need to write everyday. Just when you feel like .. and put the date of the day you write on ... hang in there

@@neoromanempire I was more busy in high school than I am in college. Because of clubs and extra curricular activities. Plus you can make your schedule in college so it’s easier to prioritize sleeping at least!

@@vanessaramos9053 Tks. Just a reminder. Since many years I have made it a habit to observe my breath sensations even during my normal activities and I am feeling relaxed and healthy. The best part is nobody comes to now that you are doing the practice as there is no deep breathing or sound. Reduce watching negative media and strictly avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Whenever I'm alone, or just thinking to myself in general, I give myself two distinctive voices in my head: one is a positive, and optimistic entity, while the other is a negative, sometimes even harshly toxic amalgamate. I even have names for these voices: Fireball, for the representation of the flames of passion and high spirited motivation, and it's "other half", Laberiff, who sits quietly backstage while IT'S "other half" expresses itself to an audience that doesn't exist. For as long as I can remember, these two voices lived inside my mind. They would always tell me what I should think about, whether it be positive or negative. Unfortunately, they both have the exact same voice; it's my voice. I am Fireball AND Laberiff. The way they "think" is how I feel about things, and it is overall up to me to decipher whose voice is whose. Sometimes it's obvious. Sometimes it's complicatedly difficult. So anyway, I really love your videos and yes I am watching this at 2 in the morning, yes I did drink some water before heading to bed, and finally yes I promise after I am done typing out this comment about my intricate thought process I will head to sleep. Goodnight! Again. Love your videos. 😊

This is honestly a genius way to clearly divide your negative thoughts from positive ones. I feel like I should try this, as I have difficulty deciphering if a thought is even negative to begin with... But keeping track of personality behind those thoughts could help me, even if it is just branches of my own psyche.

This has really encouraged me to take care of myself. Over the past 3 months, I've just been saying to myself, I'm fine, I can deal with excessive school work, excessive studying, crappy school food without taking breaks or sleeping or eating properly, but this watching this made me realise that i was wrong and that I do need to think about myself sometimes

You are in another place but you would like to go back to your city ... Maybe it's time to stop always looking at what we lack and start living in the present, truly appreciating what we have. Since school started my anxiety has skyrocketed. I was a middle schooler last year so going into high school the work is crushing me. The crushing expectation to only get A’s, performing well in volleyball, and learning guitar is a lot. I usually don’t have time for my mental health at all 😕

I hear you. I’m much older than you and have been through college now twice. My advice: Do the best you can do because that’s all you can do and it is enough. Prioritize your mental wellness like you prioritize good grades and volleyball. You can’t achieve the grades and high performance in sports without a strong, healthy brain. I hope this helps in some way. :)

I was journaling while watching this video and I have made it a habit to journal. Since I started doing it, it's the only thing I think about whenever anything happens in my life I'm always so excited to go home and tell my journal as if it was a friend, because I struggle with being vulnerable and don't have many friends, I just write in my journal and as soon as I start writing I just can't stop and I feel so good and like I have space in my mind to take up other information and things unlike when I used to not journal, my brain was always cluttered and I had so many thoughts and couldn't get them out to anyone of anything. Moral of the story : if you don't already journal, try it out its so relieving.

I've been struggling with depression and anxiety for months now. I considered taking some medication but always told myself that it could be worse. Hearing these tips made me realise that I can't do this alone. Meditating, journaling and helping others always helped, not anymore. Don't be afraid to take the next step if you notice these are not working anymore. Stay strong, we're in this together

Thanks that finally ended the seriousness and made me happy finally. I’ve realised that I’m responding to all my thoughts in a negative way and that is killing me. Hey Psych2Go, thank you for creating this video just at the right time today and it's good timing! because I felt really bad and worst bc of my closed-minded parents who constantly yelling at me for just making mistakes in my house, they called me names, like disgusting, useless, and I'm constantly crying and blaming myself for months, I felt a burden to them, and my mental health just keep declining, and once just u made me relaxed, take a little break, breathe and calm myself, u made my day a bit better, ur just a youtube channel but u helped me a lot, and thank you again. :)

I started doing some of these when I was started to get control of my messed up life some 4 years ago. I can confidently say, saying what you feel, even if it feels out of place, is REALLY good. You may feel a bit awkward at first, but it has always transformed into either laughter, understanding or interest for me, depending on what I said. It made me feel more like... me. I could assure myself that these were not due to trying to imitate someone else, which I had been going through pretty roughly back then(I always ended up imitating someone either to get some attention or because I felt out of place). It felt more open and helped me eventually get to know my own feelings about specific things, and if there was something I didn't like, I could outright stop it. It made me more enthusiastic and feel better about myself.

I've lately been dealing with exam stress. I would cry a lot and couldn't even prepare properly for the exam. My mom was by my side during the whole time. My mom said, I don't care about your marks, I just want you to be happy. I prayed to God and he gave me strength to fight through all this. Tomorrow, I have my exam. I hope I will do better. To anyone who is dealing with depression or anxiety, pray to God and everything will be fine. Remember, he will stand by you when everyone else will leave you. Do not compare yourself with anyone. You will do better next time.

i think the idea of depending on yourself to fix your life give you so much stability no one will understand you more than you do , or maybe no one have time to care besides the overthinking that I get because of relationships but at the same time , being alone in your path makes your life empty and a routine every thing we do like art , music or any other goal doesn't have but a social value there is no purpose in life without people

I feel like this channel is helping me learn a lot about how a girl's brain possibly is like with females hiding things and such. With these videos, I can identify and possibly help in the future. Even though it's too late and I found this after my bestfriend left, I'm now filling my brain with this information to make myself a better person and to identify my own self emotionally. This is going to help me in being kind and helpful which is one of my sides that I would like to spread from my brain to others. Hopefully any of you are watching this for any same reasons as mine and remember, don't let anyone bring you down, heal up and fight like a soldier against the negative instead. And also, don't blame how you appear as it's not your fault, it's genetic body structure and you can't control it so be yourself and lift your head with confidence and less abuse

Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety. For a better life sit on a chair, back straight, eyes closed and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight your thoughts. Slowly the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Day or night, when taking a walk, when reading, on the phone, before sleep etc sit or lie down and observe your breath. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a good life. Avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Best wishes Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

No deep breathing or counting needed. Never do meditation with expectations. Meditation happens to you from within if done sincerely. I just finished watching the video and I'm going to bed now, thank you for your advices. It really helps now that life is mostly in the hustle, it's quite exhausting especially now that I'm in my 3rd year college our midterm is about to start and I'm starting to really dislike my course and my family doesn't listen much when I express my struggles but would brag how my grades are good yet they don't see the pain and work I had to go just for them. Anyways thank you for being the comfort that we all need Psych2Go, I hope more people learn and seek help because of you.

I was aware that I wont be as frustrated as I was if I tell someone about what I'm feeling but idk who to tell to. I like to keep my family problems just in my family, sometimes I wont even tell it to my cousins or aunt. And I have no one else at home. It's just me and my parents. Sometimes I succeed at trying to compose myself and not talk back when my parents are mad but I'm still human. I can't bottle up my feelings forever. Sometimes they'll just unconsciously slip out of my mouth resulting in me getting punishment(in any way, whether its verbally, physically, or not being able to do smth).

I can't help but cry while watching this video... I know I have so many bad habits and I know that I need to fix them if I want to have a better mental health, but, at times, it feels like as if it is impossible to change that. I don't know, maybe it's because I am going through that phase of the early 20's where we keep asking ourselves what would be our goals for our life, but I do struggle a lot with maintaining these good habits. I think the sleep schedule one is the hardest for me because I haven't slept correctly for I don't know how many years, when I go to sleep, I feel like all the difficult and bad stuff of the day just comes back at me all of a sudden, and it takes me at least an hour in the bed before I completely go to sleep.

I was crying cause I failed my class and I kept telling myself I won't end up in a good college to study my dream course which is Phycology, and my siblings make it worse by boasting their successes in to my face, and while I was talking to my friends about it this video poped up, but like I was in class so I have to save it to my watch later, and after watching I feel like I just wanna hug you guys now. Thank you for this. Everyone has bad days. Everyone. Thinking you are the only one isn’t true. I am a survivor of some terrible stuff. I blamed myself. My counselor said what would you tell someone who went through what you did. I said that I’d tell that person it would be ok. That they would survive. That it wasn’t their fault. My counselor said, tell that to yourself. I was speechless. It helped me a lot. So when the crap comes into my head, I try to stop and think of that woman and what I’d say to her. I stop and start saying good things to her and then remember I am that woman.

What we really need is more public funding of mental health facilities and outreach programs. Psych2Go does what they can, but actual sit-down one-on-one counseling and diagnosis is what is needed.

Thank you for this, your videos are always helpful 💕 As an INFJ, I have the 'over-overthinking' personality. Its also really hard for me to express what I truly feel to others, because of my big fear of judgement, but when I do, I tend to overthink again, especially about what others might say about me. what I am trying to say is that I am a very complicated person, that's why others tend to misinterpret me. It makes me really sad tho, like why should I be so different from the others? All I want is to have a normal connection with others and have good friends, not basing on quantity but quality....
