This thing just saved my RX-8. When I was roaming around, my car stalled for no reason and I tried to bring it back on. As I did that, the cat went on fire due to the unburnt fuel, caused by a dead spark plug, ignited with immense exhaust heat. I grabbed the fire extinguisher and it saved my ass that day. It's one of the greatest investment of owning a tuner car, in my opinion.

Also worth noting that you should get the right kind of fire extinguisher for engine fires. Water will do nothing on an oil/gas fire. Get ABC or Halon, preferably Halon because it leaves no residue and it's approved for aircraft.

Funny, fire extinguishers come as standard in Brazil, I thought it would be the norm over in Australia as well. Come to think of it, we do have some cars that are prone to catching fire over here, so it's kinda like a requirement.

Interestingly all cars here in Brazil must have a fire extinguisher. A few months ago they tried to change the laws about the type of the fire extinguisher, and this caused quite a havoc. Car Fire Extinguishers here are normal fire extinguishers mounted on brackets under the seat. They don't have brackets on their body, they look like the second one you showed.

If you're feeling REALLY rally style, you can hook up some fuel lines to run an outlet into your engine bay if you have a fire thus instantly directing it to the fuel area without needing to fuel the fire by opening the hood.

Some things that absolutely should be done differently... 1: You should be able to reach it while strapped down with a 6p. 2: One litre is often way to small if fuel is on fire 3: You might one for the interior which doesn't destroy wiring, carpet etc and one (larger) suited for exterior/engine compartment (not in the engine compartment) 4: Some incurence companies will reduce your cost if you have this 5: Good that you guys show that people should have these but why have an episode for something that basic 😂 But then again, it's you guys... You don't do things @ 100% but people love u 😉

Round here, we call those rivet nut things "Avdels" on account of a company that makes them, Avdel, is just up the road. Moog mate, you have the most perfect VO voice I've ever heard. We have a bloke here in England, Robin Banks (Yeah, I know, but him and Rick O'Shea go WAY back). Does a lot of VO work for UK edits of Discovery Channel shows. If he heard your voiceovers, he'd be all "Teach me, oh great one." If that isn't your day job, it probably should be.
