@QA1 Which holes on the motor mount did you use? I was told one set is meant for SN95s and the other is fox bodies.

does this k member allow room for long tube headers? How easy is it to install headers with the k member off? Thanks

Really you can use your stock k member for long tube headers. Tubular k members just make the install much smoother, that’s it. With the right tools dropping the k member is the easiest route. Sorry I’m late lol

I see on this install the car is a convertible. my question is what do you do with the x brace and or k member brace? is it not needed? also wont the car drive differently without it as in more chassis flex? I wanna put a tubular k member in my vert but was told the x brace has to be install? Any info on this would be great as I'm getting mixed reviews.. thanks

Hey Matthew, I answered this question on a different video, but if anyone else has this question, I'll put the answer here, as well. This K-member does fit on 99-04 convertibles, but it is not designed to accept the lower X-brace. It may still fit, but may need some modifications. With the amount of weight savings these K-members offer, there may be an increase in chassis flex, but it depends on your goals for your car and whether you think that trade-off is worth it.

@qa1 the car is only a daily driver with a few mods.. How much chassis flex would I experience a d would a good set of subframe connectors help reduce the flex or is there another option to help reduce the flex with the lower brace removed?

Hey Matthew, we've never measured the amount of chassis flex before and after our K member is installed, due to the huge number of factors that influence flex, and with a convertible, flex will always be an issue. For a daily driver, you shouldn't notice any additional flex, but if it's a concern for you, sub frame connectors or even a strut tower brace could be beneficial for you.

Sorry to hear that you never had a response to your email! We do not offer open box items, please see your preferred performance parts dealer for the best deals on pricing! Our K-Member is not designed to work with lowering springs. It will have to be a coil-over setup.

Hi Scott, We strongly recommend using the QA1 Caster/Camber Plate. It may be possible to use the stock plate, but there may be modifications necessary. On this car, we did replace the plate, and we will have a video out at some point that shows how to do it.

Just finished installing this and got the race control arms. You have instructions for the street but not the race. I know you can adjust the race mounts, but damned if I’m having a crazy time installing them. Wish you guys had better instructions for the race arms, like shin placement for the k member would be nice.

Is taking measurements like you did to make sure the wheel base is sufficient to not have any alignment issues? Do you have to do any measuring to the rear wheels or no?
