Except he doesn't mention the size of the bolts needed to use on the flywheel puller to remove that. Those details make a complete video. And it keeps DIYers from having to know what to hunt and peck for to find the right ones. It amazes me nobody mentions the bolt size or thread size in the flywheel so bolts could be purchased ahead of time. And while a lot of bolts start in these holes, then get hard or stop turning, it makes one wonder is this correct or do I need one that goes in smoothly. Could it be that somebody boogered up the threads on a past maintenance effort, so it's helpful to know what is correct and save the viewer some time.

I have a 2004 Sportsman 600 that has a battery symbol flash in the dash and a speed needle flash red. The bike will also die as I'm driving. Sometimes I can start it back up right away, sometimes it will turn over longer but it definitely is not the battery as it turns over no problem and I just replaced the battery too thinking that was the problem. The stator is charging fine, not overcharging. Do you think it's the regulator?

I believe the starter is removed from the backside of the cover. You may still need to remove the cover to access bolts though.

I ordered and received an RMStator stator for my 2007 Polaris Sportsman 500 6X6, carbureted. Most of the plugs on the replacement harness appear to be the same as OEM, however, the three yellow wires that come from the stator windings (and go through a plug just above the side casing) are not labeled. The replacement harness does not incorporate an OEM type plug but instead has spade connectors at the end of the three yellow wires that come from the stator. One is identifiable due to an additional small yellow wire that is spliced into the yellow stator wire and routed up to the speedo. The other two are identical and unidentifiable as to what their individual functions are. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to determine how the two remaining yellow wires are to be "spliced" either into the existing OEM plug or routed all the way up to the ECM plug and spliced in there. After viewing several "Stator" testing and install videos, it appears that the three yellow wires are all positive charging wires(?) and may not have "individual" specific functions. (I'm skeptical...) If this is the case, do any of the three yellow stator winding wires need to be spliced specifically into any specific wires that lead to the ECM ?

The two yellow wires , one connector with two wires and the single yellow where do they connect? 600 Polaris 2004 . I am using your stator and upgrade from Duccotti.

I would recommend you replace the stator and voltage regulator together.

The process is very similar, but the stator and ignition system is different on the 600 twin (and 700 carb) models. Things won't look exactly the same, but you can follow the same general instructions.

@@Rmstatorinc ......I just recieved an alert that you guys had the stator that I need back in stock. I just ordered it. Would it be safe to assume that the installation procedure is the same on a 2017 polaris sportsman 450?

@@Rmstatorinc What size threads are on that flywheel for the bolts to remove it? It's not in the service manual either, but when one has the puller, but no bolts that fit, it's good to know. Could be messed up holes from somebody's past maintenance effort, or it could be fine and just using the wrong bolts, and not wanting to mess the threads up. Any helpful info is appreciated.
