How to install Custom Graphics on a NEW KTM 1290 Super Adventure

In today's video i'm installing a custom graphics kit on my 2022 ktm 1290 Super Adventure R motorcycle. I will take you through all the steps so you can do this yourself.
From cleaning and washing the motorcycle , degreasing it , to mocking it up and putting the stickers on. Enjoy! Let me know in the comments what you think of my 1290 Super Adventure R as it looks right now.
Quick diy how to tips :
1 : Stay Calm you got this!
2 : Wash the bike , everywhere!!
3 : Degrease it
4 : Blow some air onto it to get it dry
5 : Use paper tape and figure out where everything needs to go
6 : Keep calm , it's about to go down
7 : Put the graphics on , use a hairdryer to get that little extra stretch
8 : Don't make it to hot or you are gonna screw it up!
9 : Job done
10 : Step back and admire your work.

I do like how the white opens the bike. It makes it more aggressive and you are more visible on the road. I have 790R and planning to white it out. You did you good job. Keep the good and funny content. Cheers!

Karcher K7 pressure washer , Autobrite foamgun , autobrite berry smelling soap. The color on the soap does look cool but spill it on some concrete and i will leave stains. It's really bad chemical stuff 😅

I'm really enjoying the channel. I am waiting for my 22 1290 SAR To arrive. These bikes are in limited supply in Canada and I found one of the last bikes available from another province. I wasn't crazy for the new colour at first, I think it has grown on me. Once it gets a few battle wounds, I would do this as an option to change it up. I think the white looks good, however that decal package on all black body panels might look good.

I did like the original blue as well. It's a hint back to KTM's first adventure bikes back in the day. So that blue is something special to the brand. Gotta understand it to love it i guess 😁.

It’s weird. Their website says they only do BMW decals for for 310 and 850 GS. No R1250 GS or GSA. Very odd.

I'm glad you opted not to fit the orange sticker to the front guard. The bike looks so good. You could possibly get some white and fit around the back of the tank and cover the blue. Tell the sticker company what happened and they would quickly make one to fit.

Most motorcycle suspensions are set up for 75-80kg riders and that's my weight so not touching it :-)

Can you tell us about your number. Was it from road or dirt? When did you stop racing?

I never raced in competition , motorcross was just a hobby that's all. But my buddy had 102 , and i have always used 13 on all my bikes as a kid. But when i got to the track i spotted a guy with number 13 so i went for 103 haha. Didn't do motorcross for a long time , 2-3 years maybe. I blew up my engine and couldn't afford to buy a new one 😢😅

I have ridden Motorcross, not really raced. My son was racing when he was younger. He started on a Yamaha YZ85 big wheel then moved to a KTM 125SX. I had a Suzuki RM125 to go out and practice race starts with him and racing around a friend's farm. Then he grew up. I ride my 1400GTR as a daily ride so I would NEED a 1290SAR as a replacement.

@@D_F_A yeah if you are used to +1000cc engines and a good amount of horsepower , the 100hp bikes get boring really fast 😁

@@LifeofSmokey my bike has the same HP as your SAR only with an extra 100Kg to push around. It is also designed to by comfortable, great weather protection and stable at high speeds. Sport Bike riders hate it having an :Old Man's' bike with panniers pass them. They get the same treatment from the KTM 1290 except with with wheelies.

Looks nice until you get close to the bike. I don't understand why KTM went with that delivery for the R version. Too much blue.. Still baffles me we have to use a $400 sticker kit on a $25K bike to hide the atrocious colours.They should have offered at least 2 versions of the R.
