the (black & gold looking) valve cap (well that's the color of mine),
and the thin black soloniod. I got the quality of the metal etc. of it tested, it's perfect, else I wouldn't have installed it.
Are all installed when watching 3:17 and onwards
It was a lot easier to work with the car when the intake (whether stock or after market) & the headlight was removed.

Lots especially since it was a front wheel drive CVT with the engine code caeb, i've been through 1 transmission replacement, dealt with lots of oil leaks, bad turbo manifold (cracked) etc. I spent lots of money maintaining my car at Audi dealerships before I actually got to understand how to work with these cars and yet my car was still problematic with lots of modifications. So I decided I'm going to build the car from the ground up which has taken about 5 years so far

I installed a DV+ on my A4 09 B8 and it was easiest for me to remove passenger headlight and stock intake back to manifold to access top bolt of diverter valve. The bottom two bolts were accessed with the car on ramps. I had a micro 1/4" ratchet with 4" extension and an H5 socket. 4" extension was too long, micro ratchet too micro. Ended up using a 5mm allen key for most of it. When reinstalled i put a wrench on the allen key after tight, for a slight snug. It was installed on a Pierberg and I immediately notice proper throttle response. I only drive around in D and maybe I'll check out the manual and sport modes now, but the DV+ has fixed my life lol. Car feels great and is responsive and ready

Xplicit ContentX you want to be careful with some of the mods. The 2.0t in these cars like to keep everything internal. So things like wastegate, blow off AMD such can hurt performance a little bit

@@grankpeq I didn’t do anything to my car and my wastegate failed so I got my turbo replaced with one that isn’t stock. Blow off valves also help your turbo last longer and run more pure.

Technically I was over boosting my stock K03 Turbo that's why my flutter sound was the occurring, yet my car has been fluttering ever since I installed my first modification which is the K&N intake. That mod that made the sound a little bit audible but with the DV spacer it made it way louder, especially with my custom stage 2 tune and turbo muffler delete, apart from my DV spacer and intake.

I need to replace my wastegate solenoid on my 2015 a4, it’s possible in this position without going underneath the car or doing some sort of Audi position?

The car came from factory with a IHI K03 turbo meaning the wastegate is an internal wastegate, which means that in order to replace the wastegate soleniod, you'd need to remove the turbo out of the car.

It is not worth the headachd of struggling to get the soleniod off from in the car, there is no room to work with unless you put your front end in "service mode" meaning removing the ENTIRE front end off in hopes of not having to remov the turbo just to replace the wastegate soleniod.

Every car acts differently usually the blow or the diverter valve spacer does make the sound. In some other cases people have told me after they tuned their car, they had sound.

It helps having the intake & the turbo muffler delete, as it does increase the airflow, meaning you'll get a bit louder flutter

Done this many times for different reasons, lifting it is always 5X easier. Remove skid plate ( 2 minute job ) Even just drive the front two wheels onto some nice pieces of thick enough wood. And the DV is legit right there, easy. 5 min job max

Dante Hooks technically you’re suppose to lift the car unscrew the 2 bottom covers and install the dv there, I didn’t have the right tools at the time but I was able to install it from the top of the hood. I never understood why my car does the stustustu turbo surge. I guess it’s because I already had an intake, turbo muffler delete, & a custom stage 2 tune & remap before i installed the dv

Stage 2 tune is just the name, basically the more mods you do, the better performance you'll get, you don't have to do it per se but it helps if you want to achieve higher hp gains. All a diverter spacer or blow off valve is make noise on subtly modified cars, in my case I'm building my A4 to 500hp so it will make a difference in my case.

It's possible that it may not sound exactly the same, some people have stated they've installed it & they hear no sound some others have said they hear it regardless if stock or modified. It just varies

Every turbo car has a diverter or an N75. What I did was install the DV spacer between the turbo & the stock diverter valve.

To be honest I've always had the flutter sound, when I had the K&N intake install and nothing else but it wasn't as audible as with the DV spacer.

Well i have a stock IHI K03 turbo but I have had a CVT transmission in the car (in these videos). & whatever you do, do not unplug & run the car with the cable disconnected, you'll just throw a CEL light & that may harm the turbo because the DV isn't communicating.

No, it contributes to less lag as it replaces the weaker and failure prone valving. The GFB DV+ is a great option, as it replaces the piston with a much more durable design while using the same sensor/solenoid.

Nice. One question. What blow off valve brand did you use. I used a forge blow off valve on my golf 6 TSI. All it does is makes a whoosh sound not a flutter. Does your car flutter because the K&N induction is added. Or does the blow off valve alone make the flutter.

It should not flutter it should be a whoosh sound I've had a bunch of diverter valves on my Volkswagen 1.8 t flutter sound is wrong it should be a whoosh when I break them from 36 lb of pressure the cheap ones tend to flutter after a few runs the R1 has held up for the Last 5 Years and it is a whoosh you want the air to recirculate not leave the car is not built for a blow off valve

@@MotorHeadTech that is wrong your tune has nothing to do with your diverter valve that flutter means you are having issues with too much boost and your diverter valve can't keep up or it is just plain cheap or broken trust me do some research about the flutter sound in my experience cheap and broken ones make the flutter sound not at the very beginning but after they are broken down by the pounds of boost produced you should probably only be running about 15 lb if you're pushing 23 lb on something that's only capable of 15lb do the math

well actually the diverter valve its not intended to make that fluttering sound I think he did not install it properly he is experiencing turbo surge ... the only way you are going to hear the turbo spool is to instal an exhaust delete pipe on your car and using an atmospheric bov

Hey what is the torque setting for the diverter valve with the spacer?

Hand tighten all the way, as the original diverter valve of the car is made of plastic and having the spacer installed too tight can not only crack the OEM diverter but it can also strip out the screw insert hole found in the turbo, or it can even cause the diverter bolts to snap off if torqued too hard. So hand tightened to the point where it cannot be tightened anymore would be the best option.

That could be several factors from a faulty/torn diaphragm to something being lose. These things usually create more sound than performance on low boost/low hp/base hp applications.

Well I'm not entirely sure with how the exhaust system is affected with a tune on diesel cars since in gas powered cars, the gas itself is what helps makes the pops when getting a tune. The chemical combustion in gas is what makes it sound mean. On a diesel, I suppose no matter how hard you try, it'll always sound like a diesel, although the tone of it can be changed. Not saying all diesels sound the same but, that's an area I'm not too familiar with since in USA nearly all of the cars are petrol powered.
