hey a lil nerdy clarification, the amount of vram should be multiplied by 1024. So if it's 2 GB's then it should be 2x1024 = 2048 MBs of VRAM🤓

​@@yavuzhannnnTrue but you don't need more than 2gb to run this game. Especially in this mod, because if you adjust the draw distance too much (which increases VRAM usage), it will crash. This mod should've been done on the CE edition. But it's amazing anyway.

it gave me headaches i tried to make the game see my 8gb of vram hell even 4 or 6 but it went down to like 500mb or so the only way to see even 3gb is to remove that availablevidmem command. is there any way to make the game see my 8gb of vram?

@@SmokerNaruto why bother? I was trying to as well, but since I can't seem to make it work, I gave up and it plays fine detecting 3gb. It won't use more than 1.5gb, so you're good anyway.

It kind of works if you already have a saved game, but if you try to start a new one, it crashes every time. I kind of found a way to make the original fusionfix work with this game, just rename dinput8.dll to xlive and remove dsound, and the game will load, and have all the features from fusionfix. And don't delete anything from the update folder, because if you do, the game will start but have no image, just the menu and sound.

Same issue with the new game crash, but your fusionfix uh.. fix didn't work for me. Renaming dinput8.dll to xlive (or xlive.dll) lets the game boot, but the original GTA IV menu screen loads and in-game the colors are bright, reflections are weird, and no access to fusionfix settings. Not worth the hassle for me right now, I just rolled back the changes and am going to play as-is lol.

@kylegusek try placing the dinput8.dll again in the root folder. Along with the one you renamed to xlive.dll. All the settings worked for me, I was able to change the fov, trees FX, definition, shadows settings and anti aliasing, along with a lot of stuff. One thing I suspect is that fusionfix seems to not be compatible with the enb that comes with the mod. Or at least in the way I'm installing it. That's probably the reason why you say the colors look weird, because it's using the shaders and filters from the fusionfix for GTA 4. But the filters look really good, kind of gives it a vibe of the PS2 era

@@kylegusek no, I was using enb, and everything was working fine, but there were some differences in the it looks, like I said, probably because of the shaders and filters. But the mod worked.

@zezebro17 Ah weird. I spent some more time last night juggling between the different versions of fusionfix and the only time I got it properly working was with the fork that Clippy's was forked from, and only with ENB disabled. Sort of a side note but the loading screen was also much longer when using any version of fusionfix, cycling through 1.5ish times when default with just enb would show two characters and then load in. Think I'm done messing with it for now, just going to play the game haha. Thanks for trying to help!

I tried almost everything but the game just launches with everything super dark and broken lightning. Specifically on my Windows partition on my steamdeck. The one time where it wasn't dark none of the textures loaded...

having a problem with nights that are too dark, somehow the screen brightness/gamma gets turned way down to the point where everything is barely visible and flat. also, fusionfix options dont work.

I used to get higher FPS than 60 but now after installing this, its locked at 60. I set the frame limiter to 120 and also off but it doesnt work

Alot of options dont seem to be working, like Depth of Field, Tree Lightning, Tree Alpha, Screen Filter, they dont change anyting in the game despite changing its options

im having weird problem my sky and surroundings are foggy and sky is gray'ish :/ edit ah it seems that my save was just bugged somehow and doing new game fixed it but luckly i only did 1 or 2 missions at the beginning so i can just start over xD

The same happened with me. Sometimes the clouds get black when I look at them, and when I look away they become normal. I'm going to try the fusion fix to see if it fixes it

I have followed your method of installation Now I am facing a problem where every time when I tried to pick up any phone call in the game the game crashes. Other than that game runs totally fine but only when any phone call thing happened.

It's most likely Fusionfix not working that well with VCNG, I made the fork and it crashes the game after a cutscene with it lol, I haven't been actually using it
