Clear guide except for one thing: In Shopify under Online Store > Preferences, there's a spot for the GA4 measurement ID which supposedly gives GA4 additional "Enhanced Ecommerce" information. With the Shopify/GTM/GA4 implementation you've recommended, should we also save the measurement ID here or leave it blank? On another guide I found the following statement "Since you won’t be able to see people traveling through the checkout pages in GA4, I recommend adding Universal Analytics to your Shopify store." Wondering what utility this will have. Paying attention to both GA4 and UA sounds exhausting. In Shopify it does say the following about "Enhanced Ecommerce" : "You must upgrade to the latest version of Google Analytics in order to use Enhanced Ecommerce." It seems like it's inferring that it will work with GA4. That said I've also heard this will result in duplicate data. Confusing! Hope you can help! Cheers.

Great video Julian, but the issue of GTM no tracking the checkout page can be fixed when the head container is placed in the additional JavaScript code space under Google Analytics Integration. I have also seen you use this technique, why did you decide to drop the tracking technique

For my checkout settings, it looked a bit different from his. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to find additional scripts. It should be under "Order status page"

Thank you for this. I get following error on Google Tag Assistant chrome extension on thank you page: tag must not be included in a GTM javascript code not found as a direct child of the tag GTM no-script code not found: either missing or not in Not sure what to do. I am guessing above is from script pasted on checkout additonal script.

I was able to install GTM successfully the only page it is not tracking is the thank you page I added exactly what you said in the additional scripts section on Shopify checkout settings but it is still not tracking the thank you page.
