How to Install LED DRL+Sequential Turn Signal With Relay Contactor Into Any Car's Headlights

I explained how to use 5-pin relay contactor to wire up LED lights as DRL for any car without DRL.
**Relay Connections**
Pin 86 === Headlight Positive Wire
Pin 85 === Ground
Pin 30 === +12V ACC
Pin 87a == Positive ( Red wire) of LED as DRL
Pin87 === No Connection

Great instructional video mate and great diagram, I've been looking for video for this wiring set up as my sons ute failed its wof or (vehicle inspection) otherwise known,as due to New Zealand laws stating Drl must no stay on with headlights I've googled and youtubed but some guys get to complexed with their instruction. Hello so I’m having a really hard time making my DRL lights come on as turn signals .. I can’t not get it at all .. the headlights I bought are after market which are these PENSUN For Toyota Sienna 2011-2020 LED DRL Sequential Signal Headlight Assembly but don’t have all the connections just has the low beam n high beam and signal wire connection but no DRL connection please help

I want to power a DRL same like on this video. Can i run the red wire to an existing relay on cars fuse box and connected to pin 30 only so the DRL stays on only when the ignition is on?

Yes you can but make sure the fuse to use is energies when the car is running. Otherwise, you will drain your battery if it connected to a constant 12V

Thanks for the video. Exactly the one i was looking on. Is one common relay enough or 2 drl light strips left and right? Or should use 2 relays for left and right? I have same strips as you.

Yes, you can use one relay for both lights. You have to manage the run of wires well.

Great video so a quick question if you don’t have it connected to the headlight (number 86 on the relay). Will it still Work just never go off until you turn the car off?

Pin 86 is your signal trigger for relay to switch from 87a to 87. Yes the LED strip will stay on until car is turned off.

You don't need relay for that then. Just ensure you tap to 12V ACC not directly to the battery (Constant 12V)

Check the state of the relay output before connections. Is it at 87 or 87a? Your relay must match the kind I used in the video. Otherwise, swap the pins.

@@AmiNunezGarver Issue could be you are not properly terminating the wires. If you use a cable tap, the connector may not be touching the metal part inside of the wire. Do a direct wire connections.

Dear Brother, if I connect without switch.... means connect to positive wire to direct headlight then... Pin 30= positive wire to when engine on corrent flow and when engine off corrent off, Pin 85= ground, Pin 87A= DRL positive, Pin 86= Headlight positive, Pin 87= ?????, Reply me please. I just contacted everyone yesterday, all works perfectly till you start the car up, indicator signal won't work, why is this please?
