I bought a LG C1 from the USA and brought it to canada. I have the Lg channels app however I get the error "Lg channels can't be serviced if a user changes the service country from Settings". Im not sure how to fix this as when I put the country back to USA the app opens but the channels do not work regardless because I am in Canada. Any fix to this issue? Any help is appreciated

Hey - yes, that's the main point, that you can install apps which are not available in your region. Other topic is will there be a regional restrictions to open the app, but that can be solved with VPN.

@MsBflat ...LG-Channels actually are IP-Channels. I receive them by Cable network (LG-App) & it's about 1000 Channels here in Germany via my provider/broadcaster Vodafone (Unitmedia). Different contents from national/local broadcasters also international contents...!

Do you have a service controller? If you do, can you share the Country code from your TV when you set to United Kingdom? I'm in another continent, but I want to access as UK. I already have the US code, and it works perfectly when I set to US, but the LG UK has different channels and I want to see them too 😅

No, I don’t have that remote and don’t have at the moment any LG TV to test it. Look for Bulgariab forum setcombg - there you might find the info you need.

Hey, it could be that your TV is locked so you cannot change services country. This trick works in Europe for sure, for other regions seems there are more restrictions…

I ve installed it the way you showed in this tutorial. However, when i switch back LG service country from UK to my country Romania and try to run the app, it says "Sorry, LG Channels is not available in your country yet". And if I try to run it in the UK service country, it says I need to keep the same service country that i used when configured the TV first time , which is my real country Romania.

Salut, eu am schimbat din meniul "general", tara de difuzare și tara pentru serviciile LG în UK și am putut sa accesez canalele LG, care apropo sint de cacao, la fel îmi afișa același mesaj, ca serviciile nu sint disponibile în România. Am un C8 din 2019.

As of now, there's only one Indian channel in LG Channels app to watch Indian movies, which is "Bollywood Prime".

Also "pure" IP-Channel Apps...! 🇩🇪...es hängt davon ab, welche Sender in Indien verfügbar sind. Zum Beispiel: Hier in Deutschland kann ich KZbin, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Zattoo, Waipuu etc. und einige wirklich seltsame Anbieter installieren. Auch „reine“ IP-Channel Apps...!

For location I don’t have United Kingdom but it has United States which it’s already selected but yet it’s on the App Store but when I click on it to download it’s saying “unable to start the app. Please try again later” this been like that for a while for me now and idk what to do from there

🇬🇧...and what was forgotten to mention is that all programmed stations will be deleted, so that a new station search must be started if you have not previously saved them on USB...! 🇩🇪...und was vergessen wurde zu erwähnen ist, daß damit alle programmierten Sender gelöscht werden, sodaß ein neuer Sendersuchlauf gestartet werden muß sofern man diese zuvor nicht auf USB gesichert hatte...!
